I just looked at the dinner menu for PSB. Someone please tell me it's better than it looks. I don't mind paying $27.99 for a character meal as long as it's pretty good. Also how big are the servings? I know it used to be all you can eat. Is it still? One more question: What is Traditional Kjottkaker? I am a pretty adventurous eater and will try just about anything. However my GD is not.

Also I know Ariel is only at lunch and Cinderella won't be present. That's OK, but who is there for dinner?

The appetizer is buffet style. They have things like cold cuts, cheese, raw salmon, pasta salad, salad...etc. I think all of the appetizers are on ice so they are all things. The entrees are somewhat traditional Norwegian food. I had the pasta Akershus with cooked salmon. The noodles were flavored with garlic and the salmon was seasoned. I wouldn't call this too adventurous. Maybe others can give you their experiences with the food.
I can tell you that the 'usual' princess line up is Aurora, Belle, Jasmine and Cinderella with Ariel sometimes meeting Guests in the lobby before you are seated. But please remember that ALL of the princesses are always subject to change. Pocahontas, Esmerelda, Alice, and Mary Poppins have all made appearances too so it is really just the luck of the draw when you come. Have fun! :goodvibes

We ate dinner there on 9/29. I was very skeptical because I'm the very picky eater, DD7 will eat almost anything. I tried the Kjottkaker because our server said it was the best item on the menu (and I figured I could trade it with DD's plain chicken breast meal if I didn't like it :flower: ). It is a type of meatloaf, with small pieces of beets in it. I don't normally eat beets, but I thought the Kjottkaker was good - the cauliflower/ cheese potato mix it came with was very good. DH had the lamb (we've never had lamb before) and it was very tender. The portions were very large (and my family eats A LOT), so we didn't need to order additional portions (I've read that you can & I've also read posts where the person was told no). The appetizer part is definitely all you can eat. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. Personally, we wouldn't return, simply because we have other restaurants we enjoyed more, but I don't regret trying dinner at PSB - seeing Ariel in her gown was the main reason we went, but the food was enjoyable also.

Our Princesses were Aurora, Jasmine, Belle, Ariel, and Cinderella. princess:

We went Monday 10/24 and the food was okay. Personally, I didn't think the food was worth the money. If you really HAVE to see the princesses up close, then do it. I don't think we'd return just for the food. We spent $83 and it was our least favorite character dinner. I thought the food at the Swan was much better.

We went to the PSB breakfast in August. My husband and I were very unimpressed with the food, especially for the price. We were on the free dining plan, but paid that meal out of pocket.
We are going again in January and asked our 2 boys which restaurant they'd like to choose (we were each picking a TS meal) and they both picked PSB breakfast. We have been to Chef Mickeys, Liberty Tree Tavern, Garden Grill, Crystal Palace and Donald's breakfastsaurus, but they chose their favorite as PSB.
I did call Disney dining to see if we could pay a set fee and not eat but they said they no longer do that. I read somewhere once that you could pay $5 per person for not eating, but just sitting with other family members that are eating at the same table. I just don't want to pay good money for food we didn't like and the lunch/dinner menu doesn't appeal to us either. We offered the boys to do Donald's or CP for breakfast instead, and will be going to Garden Grill and Crystal Palace for dinner.
