Just a reminder: always be sure you can last a full day without any of your checked bags. For your trip to Florida, that means having a day's worth of clothes, etc. in your carryon. For your trip back home, that means not packing anything you don't have more of at home.
This advice is frequently offered, but it is easy to forget to do this. For our trip back home this past weekend, BAGS/RAC managed to not get our bags onto our flight in time, despite dropping them off (and tipping!) nearly four hours before departure. It looked as though the MK-area pickup was late; we were at BLT, and another guest at WL also did not have his bags on our flight. Southwest was great in getting them to us, even though it pretty clearly wasn't their fault, and the SW rep also mentioned that "Disney does this a lot."
Happily, it wasn't a big inconvenience for us, because we didn't have anything we couldn't live without in those bags. But, be prepared!
