I just wanted to pass along a deal I found today at my local Target. In the flashlight section, they had the Life Gear Glow Sticks on sale for $2.50 (reg. price says $4.99).
These little lights seem PERFECT for camping, especially for kids. They are like battery powered glow sticks (come in different colors) but also have a little flashlight on the end and have a flasher setting AND an emergency whistle built in.
Here's a picture:
*edit* oh yeah, I forgot that they also had a Rayovac brand battery powered lantern (very similar to the Coleman LED ones I've seen in the camping sections) that was also 50% off (reg $27.99 marked down to $13.98). Again, this was in the section where all the flashlights are.
