Reading through many of these pages has made me vow to do at least 2 major projects in the next few weeks-
1. Go through all my photos and make sure they're marked with the date, as well as I can, who the person is, and on some, where the photo was taken.
2. Go through all our Christmas stuff, and through away about half of it, maybe more. When the kids were younger and at home, we had a 9 foot tall Christmas tree as well as the ornaments for a tree that size. Now that we're in our 70s, we have a very modest celebration and a 3 foot tree. This year, half the ornaments never made it out of the box.
Also, when Mom was alive, our big thing was to go shopping the day after Christmas and then proudly brag about how much money we'd saved. Half of that stuff never got used.
Speaking of Mom, a few months before she passed, she moved into assisted living and impulsively sold her house "as is". I got no pictures, nothing. At the time I was devastated, but now I have mixed feelings about her choice.
