I have read wonderful things about Dreams Unlimited and are considering using them for our next WDW vacation.
Regarding PS's: Have you had better luck securing ps's or has Dreams Unlimited had better luck getting them for you??

Thank you
Suzy V.

DU has never failed us, including breakfast at CRT, once on Christmas morning. (And I didn't have to get up early or stress over any of it!)

I have to agree with the above poster. Our dreams agent has never let us down for any PS including CRT and Illuminations cruises. Now that I am a DVCer we will miss her tremendously.

The only PS that is a "must have" (only in my disney dreams I think :rotfl: ) would be Chef Mickeys for Christmas Evening 2006. The rest I am not too concerned about. We will be in WDW at least 11 nights , so dates/times for the other PS's are not as important.

Question: How is it that Dreams Unlimited is able to secure PS's that non-TA's may not be able to. I guess they have the experience/knowledge that I don't but do they have a special system or something? I would be very interested in anyones opinions on this.

I was just checking out their (Dreams Unlimiteds) website and it looks very impressive. Unfortunately I was not able to sign up for their e-mailing list. Some error message kept coming up.

I booked with DU for an upcoming trip. I requested a few PS. I see them listed on my itinerary. Should I presume these PS were made? (I don't see confirmation #'s.) Anyone know how this works? Will I eventually get the confirmation #s? :)

As soon as its available for them to call in for your PS's (90 days-60 days)
You will start to see confirmation numbers on your itinerary, on their web site.
It might take them a day to fill it in, but they ahve been pretty quick in doing this!

DUT has always been able to get us hard -to- get PS's CRT, and Illuminations!

Have a great time!

For me? No, they have always gotten PS's for me..
Although I have never tried on a holiday, recently they just got me a PS for Cinderellas Breakfast for May!

thanks for the info. Something must be wrong then b/c I'm def. within 90 days and for the restaurants I requested they are 90 day restaurants and there are no priority #s on my reservation online at DU's site. I requested the priority seatings about 2 weeks ago.

As far as not being able to get me what I wanted...on one trip we really wanted to do an IllumiNations cruise, on a certain date. I got an email on the 90 day out date from my DU agent saying that she couldn't get the cruise for me. Man, she was really upset about it. She asked me if she could keep trying for different nights. Yes, that was no problem for us. Well, the third day was the charm. She was thrilled to tell me that she had gotten one for us.

As far as the confirmation numbers go....I can't remember if mine showed up on the website or not. I do know that theyb were all there when I printed out my itinerery from them. Since you are way past the 90 day mark, I would send your agent an email and ask if they should be showing or not. Better safe than sorry.

LaWalz23....I know what you mean about missing your agent. We also bought DVC and I still try to tack on a few nights at either end of our dvc stay, that way we still get to see her.

I didn't have any problems making any of the PSs when DH and I honeymooned in 2002. I used DU for our Halloween trip in 2003, and they made all of the PSs for us, including dinner at the California Grill on Halloween night during Wishes. It was nice have DU make the PSs for us. I didn't have to worry about when I could make those calls.

Dreams always got me the ones I wanted without a problem. I agree with others that it took the pressure off me. But if you're very concerned about a certain PS, there is nothing wrong with calling on your own for a very special PS just in case. Better to have two than none.

I never thought of that option. You mean, that I, as well as DU could call for a PS (I am thinking Chef Mickeys on Christmas Day), then if two PS's were secured, I could simply cancel one?

Judging by the posts on the CRT thread, its clear that lots of people do this (i.e., have several family members call in at the same time). The only thing to keep in mind is that, if you end up with two, there's somebody who got up and did the 7:00 am drill won't get one because you got two. Of course, when you cancel one of them, it would go back into the pool...but probably not to somebody who got up to call at the very start of the day. I can't blame people for wanting to do this and its too bad that Disney's computer system doesn't track PSs somehow to tell you if there's already a reservation made for you. But, if you're using DU, it sounds like their track record is pretty solid. IMHO, I'd save myself the anxiety and leave it up to them.

Melrosgirl, if you have PS's listed on your itinerary with times yo ushould also have a PS #. Ours were on there as soon as they were made. I'd contact my agent by email if I were you and se if there's a glitch in their system. :sunny: I have always just emailed Sue Ellen with the restaurants, times and dates and let her take the ball and run. YOu can always change them if you don't like them.

Our April trip is our first booked with DU. Cathy Lord got us everything we requested, including CRT. The requested times were on our itinerary prior to the 90 day mark. As she got each one she added the reservation # that day. If you dont have the reservation # for each request you might want to check with your agent....

thanks. I'll email them. There is def. not a # near the restaurant name on my itinerary.

I plan to let DU do all of my PS this trip. They got everything that I wanted last time, except for cindy's. BUT, I was able to call two days out and get cindy's myself, so it was okay.

I have had great luck with DU getting all of my PS's. Make sure you have your Chef Mickey request in 90 days before Christmas and then e-mail your agent about it.
