We will be in WDW from may 15 to 24. What are our chances of getting PS to anything? The reason I'm waiting is because this is our first trip and we are not sure what we want to do? We are not planning our week in advance, at least not until we arrive so we can schedule with the weather forecast.
Only sure thing is on the day of arrival (12:30noon MCO) after check-in at All Star Sports resort we will be going to get some supplies (snacks, breakfast items... :drinking: ). Can I purchase a toaster at Publix?

Last week I made a PS reservation once we were there for Chef Mickey. I had made one from here first, but because that was a great weather day, we decided to stay at the pool instead of eating breakfast with Chef Mickey. So, we cancelled that and instead I booked a dinner with Chef Mickey later in the week. It required no credit card to book these, so no penalty for cancelling. Why don't you book something tentatively so you would not be dissapointed. LOVED Chef Mickeys!

You can go to Guest Services at your resort and they will make PS reservations for you while you are there. If there's some place you really want to eat at though I'd make it before you left.

I agree that you can make some of your PS while there however if you wanted something like Cinderella's castle then you really need to book it as soon as you can. Depending on the time of year your wait without reservations might not be too long but still this is time that could be better spent doing something else.

Why not make some rough tentative plans with PSs so you have one less thing to worry about?

I posted a similar question before our trip in Feb. I decided to book 3 PS that we really wanted, and planned to change depending on what we wanted to do. I didn't want a full itinerary planned before going, so that we would have some flexibility. I made PS for CRT, Chef Mickeys and the Fantasmic package at H&V at Disney MGM. We also bought tickets ahead for the HDDR at FW. I am glad we did on all counts. We ended up going to DisneyMGM a second day, and we got a PS at the park first thing when it opened. However, it was for 4pm, and when we booked, they had to split us up over 2 tables (4 of us). Once we got there we were able to get a table together though. The time worked out fine as we just had a snack type lunch and went to H&V after the parade. Even in "slow" season, we got the last PS available for the Fantasmic package on the same day. So, it can be done for sure, but book as soon as you decide what you are doing that day. As a previous poster said, book special things on the 90th day out to avoid disappointment.
