We are going 4/18 - 4/27. I want to make PS. I have never done so and last time we went to WDW (Easter week), we did not get to eat at some of the places we wanted to try.

However, how do you know what to pick if the park hours are not posted yet? For example, I want to see Fantasmic and I do not know which night it will be shown. I don't want to have PS at a place in the MK, when I will have to leave to go over to MGM (we usually pick a park to stay at for the day).

Am I making this too hard? Do you all just make lots of PS in each park not knowing where you will be for that day?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

90 days out is usually when they open up the restaurant reservations. Fantasmic is usually on weekends unless it is during a holiday period and they will do two shows then. You might consider booking the dinner pkg with this and that would take care of that one.

As for the rest of days plan your park visits and then make your PS. Unless you are going to a holiday you should not have problems changing it. Just keep an eye on the WDW calender. Or you can make two and cancel one when you arrive.

We kind of look at the restaurants we want to eat at and plan around them. But then we dont plan around the fireworks displays either.

Hey Momoftwins!

We are going the same week & we have the same questions. I agree with Grumpy92. We'll make 2 ressies and cancel one once the park schedules come out.

Last year we were there the last week of April. Fantasmic was shown every night with the exception of one night. (I think there was a reason, but I can't remember what.) The harder one to plan around was Spectro Magic. It was only shown once the entire week. Anyway, I changed my PS's right up until the week before and never had any problem with the exception of Chef Mickey's.

That was a big complaint when they changed PS's to 90 days out and now make you guess based on last year's hours! And even once the hours are listed, they often change more than once. We have usually been there when Fantasmic was every night, but Spectromagic is sometimes only weekends. Good luck.

I had a similar problem when I made PS for the week before Easter. I wanted to make later PS, but the park hours were listed as early closing (like 7 pm for MK). I am pretty sure that the MK will end up with longer hours for the week before Easter but the CM could not make later ressies than 5:45 because of the closing of 7 pm.

I was advised to call back when the park hours for April are set and change the PS if I'm able. Just what I love having to make two calls for one thing
