I have a PS for 4 on Feb 14 at Ohanas that I am going to cancel. If anyone wants it, let me know and perhaps we can transfer it through Bob at Dreams Unlimited. Otherwise, I will cancel by 10am tomorrow, Feb 5 (there is a credit card hold on it).

Hi Mitla, What time is the P.S. for? Thanks for posting your cancellation!

The reservation is for 7:50pm-right before the fireworks (8pm).
If you are at Disney maybe you could be over there early and catch the Spectromagic at 7 from the beach in front of the Polynesian. Let me know....I won't cancel tomorrow at 10am, I've got to go renew my CPR tomorrow am so you've got time to think about it.

Janet, Sorry to hear you will not be able to make it to Ohanas for dinner on Valentines:( Hopefully you will be able to enjoy it at a later date!! Joan We leave in 6 days!!:Pinkbounc

Joan-

It would just be too stressful to try to rush from Tampa (in at 5:30pm to a 7:50pm reservation. Better to save Ohanas for a future trip and maybe stroll to Beaches and Cream instead!;)

Janet, Thank you again for waiting to cancel. I too am sorry you can't make it there for V-day! Here's what's taking me so long to decide: I have an existing PS for the same evening at 5:20 at Ohana (made before the fireworks moved to 8), and I've been trying to think of whether it's better to eat early and then catch Spectro and/or fireworks after from the beach - or to go at 7:50... Since we have a 3 & 7 year old, I think it might be a little late for them (even if we do snacks earlier). On the other hand, it's the last night of our vacation and your reservation would let us stay in the park (probably MK) later.... It's also our 1st trip, so it's that much harder for me (wanna-be master planner) to envision.

Do you have any suggestions? Or Joan, if you're reading this? If you can hang on a bit longer, I wanted to bounce it off my husband tonight -- though (shhhh) I'd probably listen to you and other DIS'ers first! ;)

Joan, either way, I'll look for you there and say hi!!

And if anyone else out there needs this reservation while I'm being indecisive, please feel free to jump in and grab it!

Dear Fa,

I don't have to cancel until 48 hours ahead, so take your time, but personally, I think you would be better off with the earlier reservation with those little kiddos. You can enjoy the games (maybe assisting the little one), eat a leisurely and long dinner, then step outside for the shows-I guess there is a beach there.

Are you staying onsite? We did a trip 2 years ago and found it was REALLY nice to be able to go to the room in the afternoon and take a nap, then we hit the pool for a while, and then returned to the park. And remember, you won't be able to do it all-just enjoy what you do. The first time I went to MK with my son he HATED the rides (age 8)-so we just walked around and listened to bands and ate snow cones-it saved the day. He preferred Gatorland to Disney! My daughter, by contrast, is a true Disney fan-she is making lists and everything.

I'll wait to hear from you-I had discussed this with my husband also-we just figured that rushing from the airport to a dinner reservation was stressful and silly. I hope to visit WDW on a fairly regular basis, so we just do a little each time! I won't feel bad if you don't want it-someone out there will get it!

- for your advice. We are going to keep the earlier PS for the reasons you stated. Sometimes it makes so much more sense hearing it from someone else! And in this case, my husband said the same thing (WOW!).

Take care and have a GREAT trip! :)

We leave tomorrow - of course, it's going to snow in Philly and probably more heavily - of course - in Atlantic City where we are flying out of! Hoping no flights are cancelled, but trying not to think about it, b/c I'll go  !!!

Have a GREAT and safe trip, Fa, and be sure to post on your return!

Janet

Fa, I guess I came late into this discssion but I think you are much better off with the early seating with little ones! I am sure you will all have a great time at Ohanas! Be sure to go there very HUNGRY! There is lots of delicious food! And if the little ones are not happy with the selection I have read that they will get you something to please them(Hotdog or mac. and cheese). Remember you will be able to see the EWP from the Poly at 9pm.We are 5 days and counting!! Our forecast is SNOW for tomorrow and possibly Sunday also! I am starting to get nervous! We are driving from RI tuesday pm. See you in WDW!! Joan:Pinkbounc
