PS for 12/28, WEIRD!

Just got off phone with disney dining and tried to get late dinner at castle in MK and was told that all thesit-downs are only open 4-5:45pm on 12/28! Even hung up and called to get another CM and got the same answer. I was there during x-mas week last year and the parks were open late every night. WHAT'S UP! She checked Tony's and LTT and they all had same times. She even checked for mon 12/29 and the same thing. Didn't have this problem last year..anyone else? I took 5:40pm PS but hope I can change until later.

Has to be some kind of programming error. We were at the MK last year on the 28th and got a 8:45 PM PS for Crystal Palace . Try back in a few days...........

You can never figure out PS. I called at the 90 day mark for CM for 7 people at 6:30 PM on the 28th and they told me every table was book and I could get 5:30 or 7:30 PM. Possible , but hard to believe I called at 9 AM

Yep! Recently there have been problems getting later PSs at MGM & MK restaurants. We tried at our 60 day mark(before the 90 day change) for Mama Melrose back in August. We tried for 2 different days and could only get before 5:00pm! I knew there was no way those all could have booked up within 10-15 minutes. We kept trying back and about 3 weeks before our trip later times opened up.
Other people here on the boards have reported the same results. So, keep trying & good luck!

The same thing happened to us for our July trip and September trip. We called about 60 days out and couldn't get anything past 6:00 at MGM or MK. But when the times got closer (about one week before arriving) I started calling and sure enough, there were many late opennings available. I guess it's a new method they are using to fill the tables with early seatings and holding the later seatings for walk ins??? My tip is to get a PS that you can live with if you have to, then keep calling back as you get closer.

Thanks for your advice. I'm worried because its the holidays. I am on hold right now for PS for NYeve .....Hoorah! changed MK castle PS to 7:50 on 12/28 (great CM) and have Brown derby PS for NYE for 8:30pm! Now all I need is character breakfast at 1900PF for NY day! It pays to keep calling!
