PS before MK opens?

Hi I have question about getting in to the parks before opening time. We have ressies at Cinderella's Breakfast at 8:05 on a non-EE day so they open at 9 am. We are staying at the Poly and I'm wodering what time does the monorail leave and when should we be at the gate for MK? I don't want to be late!! But I don't know how much time to allow to get there. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I don't know what time exactly the monorail will start running, but it will be running early for your PS. We had an 8:05 PS last Sat. and it's a quick trip from the Poly. Once at the park entrance you'll check your bags like normal, tell one of the CM's your PS number and wait in line with the PS people. They open the parks at about 8 for the breakfast reservations.

The resort monorail will begin dropping off passengers at the MK station at 7:30 am. From the Poly it will take you about 10 minutes since the monorail will also stop at the GF. After you arrive at the MK station, do as ChiTownZee suggested in her post.

If you plan on catching the monorail at about 7:40 you should have plenty of time to get to the MK station, get through security and get to the turnstile before the 8:00 am hour.

Our ressies are for 8:50 am on a non EE day but VERY close to park opening of 9:00 am so I'm actually nervous of the crowds slowing us down.

How long should we plan on taking to get there from ASMo resort??

We have PS for breakfast at Tony's at 8:05 and are staying offsite. What is the best way to make sure we are there on time? Can we get through the parking lot gates earlier because of the PS? Or can we drive to one the resorts and catch the monorail from there? Help, help!! The CM was rather sketchy on advice. She told me that the monorail would start running at 8...but that doesn't give us enough time.

The posted opening time and the real time they open the gates are usually 2 different things. The soft opening is their way of absorbing crowds to keep from having a big bottleneck from the people all accumulating for the posted opening time. On non EE days, I'd show up 30-60 min. before the official opening time. You can also ask someone at the gate what time they've really been opening the parks and make it clear you're not asking what the posted time is for opening. Before the cut-backs you could count on soft openings. My guess is that now the soft opening of the MK might just be the Main Street area because of the cut-backs.

I would think that for an 8:05 PS at CRT, catching the monorail at 7:30 would be sufficient.

We also have 8:50 ressies for Cindy's last week and were staying at the ASMO. The breakfast busses started running at 7:20, so we caught that one. We were at MK before 8:00, they let us in at 8:00 and actually seated us as soon as we got to the castle. This was great as the park opened as soon as we were done with breakfast at 9:00! We were on the first Dumbo ride of the day!!
