We're heading down in October and are planning on dinner at Margaritaville.
We will do it after visiting IOA which closes at 6pm. Should I make the PS for 6:30, 6:15, 7pm?? Does it take long to get from IOA to City Walk? We'd like to eat early, but don't want to have to rush there either.
(sorry if this question seems a no brainer, we've never been to Universal before)

Thanks
Maggie

You will love Margarittaville, my parrothead fiance and I ate there on his first trip to US, and we loved it! From the front gates of IOA, its a quick walk, so 15 mins is enough time, unless you are very slow walkers. Enjoy!

Be warned when the parks close those restaurants fill up pretty quickly:jester:

Also remember they don't accept ps's for Saturday if you were planning to go on that day. We always eat around 5pm (I have been there over 10 times) because it is rarely crowded during that time even in the summer.

Also, I would check in about 15 mins early, to make sure you get seated at your desired time.

Thanks guys!
I'm excited for Margaritaville, it seems it will be a fun atmosphere to eat in.

Have eaten only at the Maragaritaville in Key West but it was great!!! You'll love it. MUST have a Margarita and don't forget your salt, SALT, SALT!!!! :hyper: The Cheeseburger is pretty good too. Take your camera....lot of neat stuff on the walls...
especially if you're a parrothead like me.

so is the food really good or is it more of an atmosphere type thing. We have eaten at the hard rock and felt that while the food was ok it was not great, however we ate at House Of Blues and found the food to be really really good. Just curious

Thanks

I have eaten at The Hard Rock in Key West twice in the last 5 yrs and both times found the food to be EXCELLENT w/very large portions and a good price. I have eaten at Margaritaville in Key West only once and not at any other ones. While I loved the atomsphere at Margaritaville I found what I had to eat was good also. Of course this was in Key West so I don't know what the Orlando store will be like.

However, I do truly understand what you are saying about good food vs atomsphere...we ate at The RainForest Cafe in Cancun in 95 and loved it.....the food and the atomsphere both but when we went in 2000 to the one here in Nashville, we weren't very impressed. About 3 weeks ago a friend of mine and I took our girls to the Aquarium (sp?) in Nashville. The atomsphere was really great, the food ok, the prices WAY TOO HIGH. I won't go back. Been there......done that. However I would go back to Hard Rock and Margaritaville.

We ate there last friday night. There was a 15-20 minute wait for inside but there were plenty of tables on the back patio so we sat there. It was still pretty warm but the entertainment was great.
