Prozac for 8 year old?

Ok so DS has ADHD and for the past 6 months finally has meds. that help him.I have always been worried about his anxiety and now that the ADHD meds. have been figured out the Dr. wants to start DS on small dose of prozac for anxiety and to help when he starts to persaverate on things. I am afraid that I am doing the wrong thing by putting him on another med.He is only 8 and already on meds. is this going to have an ill effect for him later in life? Anyone with any advise? Got the script 2 days ago but afraid to fill it.( DS starts a new school next week and I know that this will cause him anxiety)I dont want to rush in and medicate every thing but have seen great benifits with the ADHD meds. I want DS to have the ability to be the best he can be. On a side note can anyone tell me in non medical terms what executive disfuntion is and how this will effect my child in school.Thank you
