Proximity: Broadway to Mighty Ducks

We have reservations in Nov for ASMU. Our friends are going on same exact dates with reservations at ASMO. We WANTED All Star Movies, but weren't able to get this resort. My question is this: is the Broadway Bldg at Music close enough to WALK to the Mighty Ducks building at All Star Movies? We wanted to be able to leave the resorts in the morning with our friends and didn't want to have to drive or use busses, etc...could I get your opinions on this? Anyone done it? I just can't gauge how far and the reservationists are virtually no help...

Last time I was there we walked from the ASSp to ASMo, that takes you through ASMu. It wasn't all that long.

How are you planning to get to the parks? If you are taking the WDW busses it might be easiest to meet at Melody Hall, where the busses stop at ASMu. This would be close for both of you. If you are driving the parking lot is basically in between the Mighty Ducks and the ASMu.

If you go to http://wdwig.com/asmu_map.jpg you can see the map for ASMu. And http://wdwig.com/asmv_map.jpg is the map for ASMo. At the top of this map you can see 3 of the Music buildings. I think the two on the left are the Broadway buildings.

We just stayed at the Mighty Ducks and we often would walk over to ASMU to take the bus, or we would get off it there. The walk from MD to the ASMU bus stop/main building is very short...basically across a street.

When we were at Movies, we walked along the outside of the Dalmatians building to go from Mighty Ducks to Love Bug bldgs. We noticed a couple of interesting bldgs jutting out from the Music section. Later upon inspecting our map, we discovered they were the Broadway bldgs. So, yes, as stated above the two bldgs you see on the Movies map are Broadway.
The single bldg showing and the closest to the front is the premium priced bldg Calypso #10. If you wanted to be a little closer but not pay extra the Jazz #9 is between these two.

Also, are you sure they are going to be in the MD bldg? Perhaps you can keep trying for something at Movies until you go?

I would say Broadway is closest to Love Bug. However, anything on that side of Music is right across the parking lot from Movies. If you'll both be using a car and want to be parked in the same lot, I would ask for something along the outside closest to the other resort for each of you. The shortest distance between the two resorts is between Broadway #8 and Love Bug #6 with about 20 parking spaces across. HTH

Thanks you guy! I printed the maps and will request rooms accordingly...besides, who knows if we'll actually GET our requests...however, it's good to know that it's actually possible. I didn't even know how close the resorts actually were. (didn't know they were across parking lots!) cool
