Is there a service for transportation to a supermarket from OKW? We are new DVC members and want to be able to "stock up" on some basic grocery items when we are there. We were not going to rent a car, so we are hoping there is a way we can make a trip to a store.
The general store at OKW (and all DVC resorts) stocks about 80-100 items including milk, cereal, frozen foods, some fruit and vegetables, etc. You can print a complete list on the DVC member website. For an additional charge, your order can be faxed ahead and they will stock your fridge after check-in.
Expect to pay about 2-2.5 times normal grocery store prices for the items they carry.
Other that, Disney does not offer grocery store shuttle service. You could call a cab at your own expense. There is also a company called "wegoshop.com" that offers local shopping/delivery service independent of Disney.
Since you won't have a car, it sounds like you'll be taking some sort of transport from the airport to your resort. If you take a towncar/limo, they will usually make a 30 minute grocery stop on the way at no additional charge. FLTours is one of the sponsors of this site and has been very dependable for us on many trips.
DVC resorts will deliver groceries for a nominal charge ($5)- you can get a fax order from MS. Otherwise, you'll need to take cab to a store, shop at the resort store or have something delivered by an online/offsite grocery service.
Could be it's not even possible, well here goes.Take bus to Downtown Disney walk across street and go to grocery and get what you need then come back and take bus back to resort. Why this may be lousy idea I'm not real sure if a grocery is across street from DTD.Hope another poster will say Danny is nuts and it won't work or confirm well it might work if you walk 2 blocks or whatever.

The closest grocery to DD is Goodings- and it's about a mile (each way). In typical FL weather, this is not a good option- especially the walk back with your groceries. ... (ask me how I know! )
There used to be a resort-type grocery at DD (limited grocery options and convenience store prices), but that is now the Earl of Sandwich (and I can recommend that for a nice lunch).
