Hello Everyone,
Just returned from our third trip in 3 years to WDW. Can't say we really tossed or turned over the decision to join DVC. After we did the tour and the math, it made sense to us, so we did it. We bought 150 points at AK. We are a family of four, and plan to carefully use our points for 1 br accomodations for the most part, maybe a couple of nights added on at a studio. I'm tired of sharing a bed with my kids! Most likely will always be borrowing points, but got 2010's points for joining, so we're starting off with 300. We never travel during peak season. I'd like to try fall (Oct, Nov) and late spring (May). I'm waiting for my husband to check the vacation schedule at work so we can plan the next 1-2 trips, possibly split stays so we can work our way throught the resorts and maybe get annual passes, or may do a trip without parks and just enjoy the pools, Cirque de Soleil etc. We've also never been to the water parks yet. Any advice is welcome!!
Elizabeth

Just want to say WELCOME HOME!!!

We love AKV :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Welcome Home!!!!
Once I bought into DVC my WDW vacations have changed dramatically. It is so nice knowing that you will be going back again, sooner than later. Even when I am taking a relaxing vacation I still enjoy going to the parks. But rather than doing the parks commando style, I just going on the attractions that I like the best, sometimes 2 or 3 times.
I also enjoy going to Cirque, taking the tours in the parks and taking a full day in a water park.
Going in October is fun, MNSSHP is really great, November can be a slow time of year, especially if you go before Thanksgiving. May is a good time of year to go as well, but it can be hot and humid. I generally prefer early May because of the Flower and Garden Festival.

Welcome Home Neighbor! We have been members since 2007, and never have regreted our purchase once. I love my king sized bed and at AKV-Kidani everyone one of my 4 kids have a bed!!!

Our touring style has totally changed, we take it slow. Have a huge breakfast in our full size kitchen. Take breaks and swim at what ever pool is closest to to the park we are visiting.

We have a stayed in few different resorts, will be hitting BCV for the 1st time this summer. We have taken a few mommy & daddy solo trips, F&W is awesome with out the kids.

We are always borrowing points, I figure once the kids are grown we won't use as many points and will catch up eventually. Or we will run out of points in 48/49 years instead of 50. I will be 80+ years old by then, I doubt I will care. I am going to use them while the kids are small and love the Disney trip!

That's so funny, I think the same thing!

Welcome home! I can tell you that once you stay in those 1 bedrooms, you won't ever go back to a studio!!! And, adding on will come just after that!

It is wonderful having all that room and that is what I love. It makes coming back from the parks so much more relaxing. We travel in the summer so its hot and now that we know we are coming back again and again, its no big deal if we spend 2 - 3 hours in the park and then head back to relax and just enjoy.

That was our thought as well, but now the kids keep asking for the points to go on their own. Anyway, congratulations and welcome home.

We stayed at Kidani for the first time last week w/ our DGS who's 2 1/2. We're OKW lovers, but we had a great time and will go back. We especially liked the SV 1 bedroom w/ an extra bath! Also, the pool and the great bus service. Welcome home!

Congratulations, :banana: you won't regret it, I havent
