Proud Mom moment

I had to go to a school in the city on Friday to do some work. They were looking for a place for us to meet and brought us down to the music room/library. It made me so sad.....there were literally 4 small shelves of books for their library. Now this is a city school and houses grades K-6. I was telling my kids about how sad this made me and how lucky they should feel to have the beautiful school libraries that they do.....they all began clammering at once. This summer they have decided to do fund raising as well as asking for donations of books to give to this school int he Fall. I am so proud of them. They weren't even fighting when trying to brainstorm about how to go about this, they were listening to each other and coming up with suggestions of who to ask and how to go about starting this. First meeting with all of them is set for tonight to reallyb egin formulating some plans!

Wow!! You should be proud of them! I am too! That's simply Awesome! My daughter's elementary school held a book drive this year for less fortunate children, and imagine my surprise when she went through her books and donated quite a few! Let us know how their "drive" goes!

Thanks guys for your support. Liznboys my kids are DS-15, DD-14, DS-11, DS-8, and DD-6. I can't wait to see what they come up with they have had a few great ideas already!
