Proud mom moment.

Last Wednesday DD14 high school had thier awards ceremony and banquet. Well she lettered in Volleyball, basketball, and track, also received academic acheivment. Today she found out she made it to regional track in shot put.

She is the only Freshman girl who goes out for things. There are ony 3 girls in her class.

Im just so proud.

She is very nervous about Friday. We head to Hays at 10:30am(2 1/2hr drive) she throws at 3pm. Then head home, she has her Conformation on Saturday evening. Otherwise we would stay over night.

That's great!! My DD started track this year in Middle School. (she is in 7th grade) She did very well in shot put and discus, something she had never done before. She was even throwing better than some of the HS girls!

Good luck to your daughter in regionals!! I hope mine will be there in 2 years.

Thank you. Yes it is nice to hear good things about kids. I work at an alternative school for kids who have been suspended from thier regular schools. They sit around doing nothing, cussing the staff out, trying to hurt us, refusing to listen. It is nice to come home to my 5 kids and see how well DH and I are doing rasing them. Yes we get a little back talk rarely. But I know my child will NEVER attack thier teacher and cuss everyone out.
