Our community is once again celebrating National Day of Prayer this evening. Representatives from area churches gather and pray for police, fire, town, state & national government, the armed services and others. For the third straight year, my son has been invited to speak on behalf of the school teachers and administration. He just turned 14 and he's an eight grade student. I sit in the audience each year with tears in my eyes as I watch him stand amongst the adults and say the most wonderful things about the educators in our town. I was just helping him finish his prayer for this year and I just couldn't be more proud of him.

Just had to share,
Tammi

WOW--14 is such a tough age--and for your son to be asked to speak again shows how composed and talented a speaker he must be

You SHOULD be proud.

That's so wonderful. You should be very proud of him. What an honor. It's so good to see the youth of the nation stand up and be able to speak their heart in front of an audience. I'd have to bring the whole box of Kleenex with me.
::yes::
