Pros and Cons of each resort...where's that thread?

Sorry, but the search function just returns a plain white page when I use it.

I'd like to find a/the thread that lists all the pros and cons of the DVC resorts. Well, specifically BWV.

My family of 4 is hosting 18 additional family members (yup, party of 22, 5 villas) at the BWV for Thanksgiving week. A few of us are chronic complainers. So, I'd like to reduce some surprises/raised eyebrows/cynicism by alerting them to the "quirks" (read: negatives) in advance.

For example, stuff like:

• Really, really long hallways.
• No daily maid service.
• Your standard view might be of a driveway or a bush. A pretty driveway or bush, but a driveway or bush nonetheless.
• The coffee kiosk on the Boardwalk doesn't open for breakfast. (That one always gets me.)

What else should I prepare them for? Or, better yet, can anyone link to prior threads about this topic?

We own at BWV and love it. But if you are really digging for a list of negatives, I suppose I can pitch in with those I've read here.

What kind of view have you booked? If SV, you have covered the view potential. Don't forget if you're near the elevators you might hear the clanging of the ME cages and the noise associated with vehicles pulling up and loading/unloading all day long.

Aside from that, some people would find these to be negatives:

• Small rooms...compared to OKW
• Crowded buses since they share with 4 other resorts
• Long bus waits (though you can get to two parks by walking)
• The clown at Luna Park pool...freaks way too many people out but some seem to find it a negative
• No food court or counter service like Roaring Fork at WL
• Elimination of certain food offerings at pool bar Leaping Libations
• All the people from BCV who come over to pool hop
• Crowded self-parking lots
• The weather is worse at BWV than any other DVC resort
• Long waits for boats to parks
• Crowded boats after Fantasmic or Illuminations
• Poor housekeeping and the place is completely falling apart
• Everyone leaves all their trash in the halls

Okay, I really had to stretch to come up with that many negatives...and some obviously are intended as a bit of humor.

I feel for you....having to give guests a list of bad things about a resort so they don't complain? Not my idea of a fun group to invite. But hey, it's your party, and I truly do hope you have a great trip!

And I thought I was the only one who noticed that .

But the only two things about BWV that I found to be (just a little) negative were the oh-so-very long walk to our room (we were waaaaaaaay down at the very end) and the exuberant party goers who occasionally passed our room (Boardwalk view) later on in the evening. However, the location is fantastic!
