Proposing at Narcoossee's Help

Hello. I hope i posted this in the right section.

I have reservations at Narcoossee's on March 11th and will be proposing to my girlfriend. I know it last minute but I want to have waitstaff bring our dessert right around the same time as the fireworks and have it say "Will you marry me" on the plate. That is my # 1 choice. But I am having trouble contacting the right person to set it up.

If I am unable to set it up, my next option would be to bring her somewhere private on the Grand Floridian grounds outside during the fireworks and pop the question then. I have never been there but I heard that there are many romantic spots to ask the question.

Does anyone have the direct number to the restaurant or have any advice to get me on the right track to accomplish this?

That is so sweet. I will try my best to you get you the number ASAP. As for a good spot. If you walk around to the other side of Narcoosees where you can take a boat to Magic Kingdom. The docking area you can view the fireworks. Its a great spot. Ill work on finding the number for you. Another thing you can do to make sure they know is call the diing reservation number again and confirm your reservation and let them know. When they put in all of your information and it gets pulled up when you check in, there will be a special note taht there is a special occasion.

I would say even if you get it set up before you go, you should have your hotel concierge call over on the day of to make sure they are prepared for you when you get there! I think the dessert will you marry me is an excellent idea! Very cute and adorable! ANd fireworks make everything spectacular!

I think that you may run into timing trouble, as when the fireworks start, they usher everyone out onto the deck to watch, and it gets a little chaotic. You would need to have a plan in store for your fiance to convince her not to run out onto the deck for the fireworks if you want the dessert to come then, but you wont be able to see the fireworks. Or you could just propse right on the deck during the fireworks?

Perhaps you could have all of this take place just before the fireworks, so that you guys can go out & watch the fireworks to celebrate? (thats what my fiance did at Narcoosees in Dec and it was lovely) Or perhaps, have them bring the dessert with the message as soon as you go back IN from watching the fireworks, as at that point you with both be in happy romatic "just watched fireworks" mode anyway?

Another suggestion would be to push your dinner reservation out until AFTER wishes, and get to Narcoosees pretty early, there is a dock out back that has a super romantic view of the castle, and you could go out there to watch the fireworks, then propose there on the dock. There will be a lot of people there to watch them as well, from the Floridian, but youd be able to do it right in the middle of the fireworks. But you would ahve to move your dinner reservation to be well ebfore that, or just after.

what a great idea! I don't know the direct number, but the hotel concierge could help you. You can also request a window table so that you're right there for the fireworks. Good luck!

The number for Narcoossee's is 407-824-1400. All the suggestions above are great, see what the staff has to suggest. You can't really watch the fireworks from inside the restaurant as people tend to go outside to see and block the view from inside.

My DF proposed at Narcoossee's last year during the fireworks. He just told the Disney dining people he was proposing. He told me later that when I got up to go to the bathroom he was surrounded by managers and waiters and photographers asking how he was going to do it! He was pretty overwhelmed.

It looks like there's a Pirate and Princess party that night, which seems to have fireworks, but there's no regular Wishes. Probably you already know this, but I wanted to throw it out there because the time might be different.
