OK, I realize I am really over thinking this, but oh well, I'm that way!

I want to create a basic 3 circle Mickey head pattern so I can try making the cute tie dye shirts. I don't have anything to trace so I'll create my own. What I'm wondering is, does anyone have any pointers on how big to make the ear circles compared to the head circles to really have it come out looking like Mickey and not just a pile of circles? i.e. the head should be 3x the diameter of the ears, or whatever?

thanks =)

I remember reading it's 5:3. If you make the head 5" in diameter (width across), make the ears 3" in diameter. Adjust accordingly.

If that's wrong, let me know. I've never tried it, but I do remember reading it.
