Proper Way to Link Accounts?

This is the first time I will be visiting HS trying for BGs with people outside of my family MDE listing. I am trying to connect to my sister's account, when I am searching to send her an invite do I click "manage all plans" or "invite guest to connect"? We both have trips overlapping and are only spending HS day together so I want to be connected just enough for me to try and get boarding groups for all. Any advice on how to link accounts would be helpful.

If she has her own MDE account, you need to select "invite guest to connect" and then enter the email address she used when she created her account. She will need to approve the friend request from her MDE account. If she has any managed profiles (spouse, kids, etc), you can then use the "Find through my connected friends" option which is the default when you select "Add a Guest". The find through connected friends is flaky and doesn't always work.

If you are staying at a Disney owned & operated resort, you can also add by entering their resort confirmation number. After selecting "Add a Guest", select the "import from a WDW Resort hotel reservation" instead of "I'll enter their name and age".

I had to coordinate a bunch of us so I asked them all for their account log in and and sent invites to me from their accounts. Then I planned with the ability to access their accounts whenever needed. This might not completely answer your question but it might help you overall.

So my sister and I connected each other but that is all. She can not see the 5 other people I manage and I can not see the 4 other people she manages? What has to happen to see each other’s parties? I want my phone to populate all the names so we can go for BGs together and not individual groups.

Try selecting "Add a Guest" again. The default option is to "Find through my connected friends" which should show a list of people managed by your connected friends. If no list is presented, you will need to call Disney for assistance in linking those managed profiles.

The holy-grail of getting separate room reservation linking to work prior to adding tickets or park reservations.... and discovered after hours of frustration.... Once everyone individually has "All My Plans" shared in their Friends and Family... Under My Plans, click "Add More Plans", then simply CREATE A NOTE that is shared with all parties and POOF, everyone will see everybody and everything. Hope that helps.
