Propane fire pits ok at the Fort?

Note the reference in the fine print to propane pits with EXPOSED flame. I think as long as it has some sort of solid roof/cover (even if the sides are screen) it would be okay.

If I am wrong, then someone correct me quickly.

PS - when Florida is very dry sometimes they have a "no burn" policy in place when even approved fire pits aren't allowed. But that's not currently in place that I've heard of.

I don't have any pictures of propane fire pits, but of all the ones that I have ever seen, I haven't really seen any that meets Disney's safety requirements.

They must be enclosed with wire mesh and solid tops. The only propane ones I've seen are not enclosed - not saying they do not make them though.

I have a "little red" propane campfire we have used at the Fort in the past. Bought it at camping world. I don't know if it allowed by Fort rules, but no one stopped me from using it while I was there last spring and summer.

Sorry, but 'open' fires like that one are definitely 'not' allowed at the Fort.

When we have drought, wildfires can spread through hundreds of acres faster than you can blink an eye. Smokey appreciates everyone who understands why there is a "no burn" time and why specific fire pits are required.
