As things get closer and closer all these questions seem to be coming up. Here is the latest. DW and I are running the 1/2 together and have be done early enough to have DD at the Kid's runs by 10:45. I'm pretty sure I did not provide proof of time for DW and her number is 50,000ish, which probably puts us in the last corral. Does the proof of time have to be from another 13.1? The longest organized event she has run is a 12K and that was at about an 11:45 pace. Would that be enough to get us moved into a closer corral? thanks!

Take proof from the 12K to the Runners Relations booth at the expo and they will move her up. They put a sticker on her bib with the new wave/corral!

You BOTH have to have proof of time to move forward. Your DW's 12k will get her moved up one wave (2-3 corrals), but you are stuck where you are at unless you have a proof of similar time in a 10k or longer in the last couple years.

I hope I answered your question.

I am reading you post one of two way, you have a good proof and are dropping back or you are assuming a link and would automatically move with her. Sorry for my confusion and sorry if you were thinking your entries would have been linked. I am thinking it is the former and you are being hte good DH.

Thanks for the quick replies. As DW said when I just read Charles' reply aloud, you are correct, I'm trying to be the good DH. My bib numbers are 30675 for the 1/2 and 1347 for the full. I'm guessing that will be enough to keep me with her when they mover her up.
On a similar question, I am hoping to get a BQ out of the marathon. Will that bib number be low enough to put me in the corral with the 3:10 or 3:20 Cliff Bar pace teams? Or, do I need to bring a more recent proof of time to get moved up, too? Again, thanks for sharing all your experience with us newbie Disney runners.

Sorry for the hijack but I wanted to clarify..

Can proof be a print out of my hm results from active.com?

The race I ran only did finisher certificates for the full marathon and not the 1/2. I know I used this same source when I first submitted time from a 10k back in Aug but since my actual hm was 30 mins faster than that 10k predicted I would love to move up.

Thanks

Yes, results printout from Active.com would work.

1347 will get you in position to push for Boston. Corral A

Course heads up (assuming a blue or left course start) -

After entering the backstage area of Epcot - first time through there are two maybe three storm water grates in the middle of the course. They are coned but you will come upon them fast. one is in a double bending turn. As you start to see the temp lights for the water stop look.

Once backstage again, there are coned dividers on the left as you come in behind mexico. just look for them. Blue course is really cone controlled right hand side. The cones are there to keep the red and blue seperated.

Just after the coned area there is a sharp right. Two speedhumps are after that turn along with a metal ram gate (you know the gates that pop up to prevent a truck from forcing its way in). The humps may surprise you, the gate can be slick.

I think that is it. The only other issues that you may not see in the dark is they viaduct under 7 seas lagoon (mile 9.7) can be slick and then there is another truck barrier gate as you pass the guard shack coming into MK mile 10.05ish

Fianlly, just a word of note. Twighlight will have passed by the time you hit 11, but as you leave MK through the Cast member exit there is a sharp left. It is over a grated bridge. They usually throw a carpet left edge, but not always.

Good luck

Charles, thanks for the good details and heads-up. When I first read it, I thought 'this guy knows too much about the course':thumbsup2, but then found myself reading it over and over...like I'm studying for a test. Maybe that will give me something to do for the next week...in between checking weather updates. :rotfl2:

Now I am thinking about trying to move up... How do I go about getting proof of time? My Princess time was about 2:40. Will they have this info accessible at the Expo or should I bring something with me?

Bring a the Active.com printout (or your certificate ) to the expo. They should have it but if their communication link is not working as you are there, you are sunk.
