Does anyone know if you get any confirmation that a proof of time submitted is accepted?

I was just going to ask the exact same question! Last Saturday, I submitted my proof of time from the DL 10K for the 2014 Princess Half Marathon. In another thread, I read that runners receive a confirmation, but I did not. I just sent a follow up e-mail, and I'll post if I hear back. Meanwhile, if anyone can share their experience, that would be great!

When I submitted mine a few months ago for Wine and Dine, within a couple days I received an email back confirming and they gave me a new projected finishing time. (I submitted a 15K)

I had the exact same experience....within an hour or so of emailing RunDisney.

I actually had an email back and then an ACTIVE.COM registration change email as well with my projected 1/2 marathon finish time.

Good luck!

"Proof-of-Time
New 2014 runDisney proof of time guidelines:
If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon in less than 3:15 hours, proof of time is required for start corral placement. Glass Slipper Challenge participants should adhere to Half Marathon proof of time requirements. Please reference the Pacing Requirements below for finish times and associated pacing per mile.

A proof of time must be provided from a certified race reflecting results after February 1, 2012.

Half Marathon - 10K or longer

A valid proof of time provided at the time of registration must include the following*:
Name of Race
Distance
City
State
Date
Finish time

*For example, Walt Disney World Half Marathon, 13.1, Orlando, FL, 1/12/13, - 2:05

If you do not have a proof of time to submit, list "N/A" at the point of registration. If proof of time is not provided by December 1, 2013 you will be placed in the last start corral. If your proof of time data is incomplete or cannot be verified, you will be placed in the last start corral. To provide or update your proof of time, you must email all proof of time data requested above to disneysports@trackshack.com. No corral changes will be made after December 1, 2013.

As a reminder, you will no longer be able to bring proof of your estimated finish time to the Runner Relations booth during the Expo and have your start corral placement changed.

Just adding that I still have not received confirmation of my proof of time submission, which I e-mailed on Saturday, August 31. I sent a follow-up e-mail and called last week, and still no response.

I called again this morning and a track shack representative told me that they usually respond within 48 hours, but have had a very high volume of submissions given the race weekend, and that those of us who submitted times in the last week should receive confirmation by this Friday, September 13.

I haven't received a confirmation yet either. I figured they were probably getting thousands of submissions after the disneyland half and 10k so I'll give it a week or so before following up.

Received my confirmation on Monday a few hours after my last post! Although I'm thinking of running another 10K later this month and updating again - lots of crowds at the DL 10K and hoping a local race will put me closer to my training times.

Got my confirmation too on Monday. Does anyone know what the typical cut offs are for the corrals? Right now I am at 9:49, would I probably have to cut a lot if time off to move up more ?

In 2013, the time for corral A was <2:15, which is where your time would put you now. The only other corral lower was elite....<1:30, so yeah BIG time cut! ;)

Corral Bib Range Time Required
Elite* 1 - 30 < 1:30
A* 31 - 2961 < 2:15
B* 2962 - 5924 < 2:30
C 5925 - 8667 < 2:45
D 8668 - 11343 < 2:50
E 11344 - 14009 < 3:00
F 14010 - 16608 3:00
G 16609 - 19296 < 3:25
H 19297 - 22290

Thanks. I am doing the Donald so it looks like I would probably be in B now. That's fine. I am not sure I can get to a below 2 hour pace.

Just to clarify, the above is for Princess, which varies widely from the Marathon weekend corral assignments.

9:49 - is that your minutes per mile? They pretty much use the McMillan race calculator to project your race time. These are the times and corral placements for the WDW Marathon last January. They'll give you a sense of where you'd be relative to others.

http://www.werundisney.com/2012/12/updated-wdw-marathon-weekend-corral-info.html

I find it interesting that if I were running Goofy (I'll only be running the full in January), my half PR would put me in A for stand-alone Donald, but the McMillan extrapolation for the full would put me in B at best for Goofy. And realistically, I haven't yet come close to the McMillan prediction for a full based on my half PR. But if I were running Goofy, I'd be annoyed.

I tend to wonder if this is true or if they would put you in A for the half and B for the full. Do you have a separate number for each?

It's the same bib for both races. I think the assumption is fair - that if you're running a half marathon and a marathon on consecutive days, your pace will probably be a little slower than if you were just running one or the other.

Are the officials even verifying? Seems like many people put in wrong corrals. Or are they just grabbing the info we give and done

Yeah...I posted Princess corrals.

If you're doing Goofy, you get one bib, one corral. This year I did Goofy and had A, which was based on my submitted half time (1:49) as opposed to some projected full time.

Right, but they're not just doubling the half marathon for the full marathon placement. Plug 1:49 into McMillan and you'll get a 3:49 marathon, which still puts you in A regardless. My full marathon placement for 2014 will be based on my half marathon time, too, but per the 2013 chart that was posted it would place me in A for the half, but plug it into McMillan and it gives 4:10, which would have been B for the full or Goofy. (And honestly, I'm going for a PR on this marathon and 4:10 isn't even a stretch goal for me. McMillan seems to be pretty ambitious on the marathon projections.)

But aren't they increasing the number of corrals for 2014 anyway? So the actual corrals will probably be noticeably different.
