I asked this question on the College Board, but I don't know if I'll get an answer over there, so I'll see if anyone here knows...

My DS is a college student in the Orlando area. He wants to go to HHN next week. I found on Allears that Disney will take a college ID as proof of residency for a Florida pass, but couldn't find out anything about Universal.

So, can he use his college ID to get the Florida resident rate on HHN tickets, or does he need something else?

I have a Preferred AP at Universal, but I don't think I can buy his ticket for him with it, can I?

Thanks!
Lisa

Well, he went on Sunday and bought the Florida resident ticket in advance and printed it in his dorm. He said that when he got there he gave them the printout and they scanned it and let him in - didn't even ask for ID! Thanks for all the advice and suggestions! :)

Hi send phantom a pm pretty sure she'll know, you can buy him a tix with your AP but not sure if u need to attend as well

His college ID will be fine. You can also order up to 6 tickets with your AP. You don't have to be going with him. But if you choose electronic kiosk pick up he will need your Credit Card and confirmation number. I'd just choose the print at home option, if I were you, then you won't have any issues picking up the tickets and he won't need your credit card.

Hmmm, well this is a hard decision. I live 10 hours away, so if I print at home I'd have to mail them to him Priority and hope he gets it by Saturday (they're going on Sunday).

He is an additional user on my Disney VISA. I wonder if I could use that one and then he could use his card to pick them up?

Then again, he was thinking about adding on the early entry for $10 and that's for Florida residents only.

I guess I'll just have to ask him what he wants to do.

Thank you so much for your help! I actually called Universal after I posted yesterday and they told me that they wouldn't take his college ID - it had to be Driver's License or official Florida ID. But I'd rather take your word for it! :goodvibes

In the past DH has bought a few HHN tickets on behalf of his coworkers. I think we happened to be there and picked up the tickets for them.
This year when DH bought our HHN FFP we picked up the passes at Will Call.
Now, had it been me, I would have had my confirmation with me.
DH... :rolleyes1 :sad2:
They requested the credit/debit card he used when oridering them, since he did not have the confirmation number.
Does your card and your sons have the same number? I would think you could buy his HHN pass and have him pick it up at will call with no issue if the card numbers arethe same. :confused3

If you go to Guest service will call window, the order must be picked up by the person whose name appears on the order. Make sure the order is in your son's name.

If he has access to a computer why not let him use your AP info to purchase the tickets for Print At Home, and possibly use your CC to order if there is any issues. He can print them up himself and your problem of getting the tickets to him is solved.

Good idea. Or you could order them with your AP, choose the print at home option, and just send him the email attachment to print at home.

Those are all great ideas, thanks!

When I talked to him yesterday he said that they definitely wanted to go early, so he will have to do the Florida resident ticket. He called Guest Services and they said that he could bring a utility bill as proof of residency. Of course, he lives in a dorm :confused3 so he has no utility bills! He does have the receipt where we paid for his dorm rent, so he said he would take that plus his college ID and hope that works!
