I interviewed for an assistant manager job and I also met with HR. I was told that the starting pay for the Assistant manger job starts at less than what I'm making now. So they said they wouldn't be giving me much of a raise or any if I was offered the position. How can they do this? Why would I take a job that will be more hours and get paid the same or in theory less pay because more hours would equal less pay.
Not sure what to do I want the promotion but I think I should get something for the promotion
