but, we're in the process of planning another extended family trip to WDW. We did it in '04 and I stressed so much I couldn't even enjoy myself. But when my youngest DS(8) said "I wish we could take cousins to WDW" and I reminded him when we took 16 relatives with us and he has no memory of it - I got all sad and thought we should go again. And then when my great niece was holding on to a little Mickey plushie and telling everyone how much she loved Mickey - I could hardly stand it! (Perhaps she was put up to doing this because they all knew I would cave and invite them to go with us). Anyway, we'll need three - 2BR for an early June trip in a year. I know I can get our home (VWL) without a problem, but have thought about OKW to take advantage of fewer points or BCV to have access to SAB. Finally - my question - Would it be possible to get 3 2BR at the 7 month mark for early June at BCV. I figure that OKW is doable - since it's so large, but wondering if anyone has ever tried to get so many rooms at BCV at the 7 month mark?

While I haven't tried to book BCV, I really doubt it will be available. But given the economy and travel costs this year, you may have better than average luck at the 7 month window.

I agree that OKW is probably a good, doable option.

While I don't know the availability of BCV at the 7 mo mark, I did just return from WDW with my group of 24. :goodvibes I found a couple of DVC Dissers to rent to them at the 11 month mark at BWV and it worked out great. I own at BWV so that was a help. We got a grand villa, a two bedroom and two studios.

Good luck and have a great time! Oh and try to do a Grand gathering if possible. Very fun!:goodvibes

We were able to get a 2BR last summer for the same time frame at 7 mos., but, I would think 3 might be impossible. We have enough points (by banking and or borrowing) to take care of the reservation ourselves and most of the family wouldn't be able to go if they had to pay for rooms as well as food and park tickets. So we're happy to use our points - would just love to be able to treat them to BCV. I guess the best thing to do is book at VWL and then look at what's available 7 months prior.

I think that would be difficult to get, not impossible. you may want to try BWV or a combination of BC and BWV and waitlist. You'd probably have a better chance with BWV just because the size of the resort. I hope the trip works out for you, sounds like an ambitious undertaking, keep a positive frame of mind and think about the memories being made for the kids..

FWIW, we had 2 2-BRs at SSR over spring break. In our unit, we had 4 adults and 2 kids (12 and 5). In the other unit, there were 5 adults. If I had it to do over again, I would have booked at OKW. We were there for a week, and while we had a ball and SSR was just beautiful, it would have been nice to have the extra living and balcony space. Plus, OKW's 2-BRs have 2 queen size beds!!!

We had such a good time and I'm sure you will, too! Book the rooms and relax. It's sure not your responsibility to make sure everyone's happy about everything!!! One thing I did find out, though, is call ahead for reservations. I just made dinner reservations for a few places for our Aug trip, and MS said it's a good thing I called. She said almost all of the good times were taken!!! I thought I was planning ahead since we don't leave for another 71 days. ;)
