Projected 2014 Start Date For Christmas AT IoA & Universal

I see this year it starts on Dec. 1(Sunday). We are thinking of spending Thanksgiving in Disney, but would also like to attend Universal and IoA Christmas Festivities as well. So My questions are:

1. Does it always the sunday after Thanksgiving??

2. Does it always start Dec. 1st?

3. I read that it starts the first weekend in December, for 2014 would that mean it will start on Dec.6th?

4. Lastly, If we were to go the weekend after Thanksgiving, Would the park itself be fully decorated, minus the shows and parade, etc.?

1. No...festivities start the first weekend of December. This year it should start on 12/7...not 12/1.

2. See above.

3. Yes...for 2014 it should begin on 12/6.

4. The parks are fully decorated by Thanksgiving weekend.
