I have started watching this show. I was surprised to find that I really like it!

Does anyone here like it as well? Who's your favorite to win? I really like Austin's stuff. I liked his corn husk dress, and I loved his Banana Republic dress.

Likewise, I do not like Wendy (her two-faced attitude is annoying) and I hope she goes soon.

Any thoughts?

I've been watching, but I fell asleep on the new one last night (really tired, not critical commentary). I liked the girl who make the other really great long, flowy dress for Banana Republic in the silver/blue. Austin's stuff is a little over the top for me. I also like the guy who was designing the Edwardian costume for the singer last night, although I never saw the finished product- was it good?

I totally got sucked into this show...I really enjoy it actually.

LOVED Wendy's Banana Republic dress...she really nailed that challenge. But she can be kinda...dowdy...at times.

Austin is a total drama queen (and, well, he wears more makeup then I do)
Nora is from one town over from me - gotta root for the home team!
Robert - Annoying any time he's on the screen.
Kevin - WAY too soft spoken - but his dress waas GREAT last night!
Jay is a hoot...he just cracks me up.

As for the models - my favorite is Audrey (she wore Wendy's BR dress and was the last girl picked last night) She has the total Hepburn thing going on...I think she's beautiful.

I missed last nights episode since I was sleeping.

I watched it for the first time last week and really liked it. The "jesus" guy is a little much for me.

Yes, I love that show. I'm not even into fashion, but I love the creativity these people have. It's amazing how they are all given the same fabrics and concepts and come up with different amazing outfits.
I, too, love Austin's designs. I do think they are all similar to each other, very Victorian and doll like, but they are so beautiful. If he had won the Banana Republic challenge (where there designs were manufactured and sold in the stores) I would have bought it in a minute! The 'winter floral' tea party design was so amazing. I did like Wendy's dress, but it is not something I could see myself wearing.
I like Jay too, he seems very versitle (although he doesn't seem to think so).
I don't like Nora very much, she seems very immature and I haven't been "wow"ed by any of her designs.

I'm so glad that Starr got booted off. I can't believe she lasted that long - that "cancer" dress was the UGLIEST thing I've ever seen! (For those of you who didn't see it, it was red and green with a red "tumor" on the shoulder and sequin strands trailing out of it onto the fabric) I couldn't believe she lasted after that and got booted the next week with her Banana Republic design which was... okay... but I don't know anyone who would wear that.

I know! It's reather hideos (take the tumor off...and it's not TOO bad...a little too christmasy for me though. heheh)

FTR - that's the model I like best too....I just think she's so classic looking

V anessa, the Brit, went home. It came down to between her and Nora. They had to work as teams to design a look for this rock singer. I kinda liked Vanessa, but oh well.

Okay, I agree, Starr's cancer dress was bad, but I thought her BR dress was awful. It really did look like a Halloween costume!

I just got hooked on this show. I actually like Wendy. She just seems a bit insecure as this is what she considers her last shot at a dream. I liked the dress she made for BR. I went to their site to see how much it was selling for and it was sold out. I really liked that dress she made with the cotton. The one the judges called "unfinished".

I love Jay. I haven't been thrilled with his designs, but he cracks me up.

I am looking forward to see what they can do with wedding dresses.

I think my favorite is Kara. I just love the stuff she does.

What did you think about last night? I felt that Wendy should have been eliminated. She didn't even finish the thong to the bathing suit.

I guess you should never say that you were inspired by another designer. A big no, no.

Morgan? What a nut case! I just shook my head when he let her leave with his design.

I loved Austin's dress that he did for the Banana Republic Challenge and I loved the swimsuit he did last night.

That cancer dress was just awful that Starr designed!

I like Austin, Jay, and Kara, but I don't think Jay's style has the look they are going for. Although Jay's Art Deco dress inspired by the Chrysler Building was stunning.

I have to say that Nora was long overdue to be kicked out! Between her attitude and her designs she really was out of her league.

While Wendy appears frumpy, some of her designs have been beautifully classic and wearable.

And Morgan needs to do everyone a favor and volunteer to leave the show!

I love Austin's B.R. dress! I'm actually disappointed Alexandra was eliminated and not Wendy. Her design might not have been as original but at least it was complete. I'm so tired of watching Wendy purse her lips.

I disagree but that's me....I agree that Wendy has an attitude, partly from being insecure, but her designs have merit. I think Alexandra hasn't really proven herself throughout the challenges, possibly due to inexperience.

But didn't you laugh out loud when Jay was pretending to bash Austin's head against the wall after they saw the results in the Post? They were hilarious!! Talk about drama queens..... Too funny!

I think it'll come down to Austin, Kara, and Jay. Jay's stuff is a bit too...edgy for me. Austin's stuff is great, very classically inspired, but I can't deal with the Drama (yep, Drama with a capital D) sometimes. I think Kara's stuff is amazing, very clean and beautiful and she's so together and professional.
