Project Runway

We only got brief looks at some of the designers-isn't there one guy from France ?
The indian guy is very handsome

I still can't get over the black dress with the tail being in the top 3. It was boring! But I liked the designer, you know he wants this.

Oh good grief, Haitian woman zip it! With all her singing, chattering, and running around the workroom I just knew she was going to have an unfinished garment. Oops! It was surprisingly good.

My least favorite look was the floral sundress thing the young blonde girl with glasses made. It looked cheap and ugly!

I really like purple hair. She has a great style and I can't wait to see what she does!

I love Project Runway-it's one of my favorite shows. I don't know why I love it so much-I have NO design style. I mean, my two favorites are from Boston and Texas, because those are the two areas where I've lived. Now, is that a design-oriented reason?

Lol, I am the same way! Not with Project Runway, but with Ink Master on Spike. It's a tattoo reality show. I have no tattoos, have zero desire to get a tattoo, but I appreciate the talent involved to create one. I find it really interesting. It's bizarre.

Well, pretty normal to cheer on folks from where you lived. But nope not a solid reason. Hope they are strong designers. :)

I'm old enough to be most of their Mother's
I used to sew-sewed my wedding dress
after the 2nd season my coworked BEGGED me to watch this- I was SOOOO hooked
First Season was less "perfect" -its fun to watch
another early season one designer brought patterns and "cheated"-was thrown off

LOL....I watch Ink Master too......and Face Off.

Call me a spoilsport, but I really wish they would give the designers two days for challenges. I used to sew, and between the fittings and all, it's really not enough time to get the level of garment the judges seem to expect.

Have loved this show since Season 1's corn husk dress!

I agree. I can't sew (well a button or a torn seam) but I think the quality of the garments would vastly improve. A lot of really talented designers get axed because they need more time for the intricate details on the garments.

Yep these are my kind of 'reality' shows, well those two and Top Chef and the occasional Voice season.

Yep love PR, and while I am not a fashion wearing kind of girl I do like to look at it and have a working knowledge and a decent eye for styling. (you wouldn't know it to look at me I'm a tshirt/jeans/no makeup/hate hair product girl).

I do have two tattoos and I LOVE Ink Master. Chris Nunez makes me want to throw things at his head, but Dave and Oliver totally rock.

I also don't have any design style but love this show. I like the challenges where they have to make something from unconventional materials. My favorite was the dress made out of coffee filters. I agree they really need more time to do their creations I don't know how they get it all done in one day. I like most reality shows they are my guilty pleasure. Another show I am watching is the body painting show thats on the game network. These people are beyond amazing at their craft.

Did they say the one judge from episode one is going to be hosting a Project Runway JUNIOR?? When is that coming on?

I think the unconventional one is next, maybe? the commercials showed lots of highlights

I loved one of the first Unconventional ones-I think it was Austen Scarlett-made a corn shuck dress-and the next day-show day- it had dried up a bit and shrunk

yay for the new season!!! I loved the dress that the winner did. it made me mad that the guy that did the pink toga actually made it on the show. as for the haitan woman all that talking would drive me over the edge. one of these days I would love to see the judges do what the designers have to do and see wow their work would be lol also a huge fan of face off too!!

I have been watching last years season and my favorite dress was the white one that changed colors on the rain way...brilliant idea!

To the OP..could you edit your title to say spoilers inside..now I know who won last nite without watching the episode yet :(
Respectfully, once an episode airs, information about that episode isn't a spoiler.

Richard. Season 3 or 4, I think.

One coming up next week - not a spoiler, based on Heidi's voiceover "Next, on Project Runway...".

I agree with wishing they had more two-day challenges. There's only so much creativity and workmanship you can whip together in one day. I would also love to see an unconventional challenge where they're a) all given the same materials and b) have sheets or something strung up in the workroom forming individual "cubicles" so they can't see/leverage off of each other's work.

I actually really like Zac Posen as a judge. I think he gives very thoughtful insight and commentary (thoughtful as in "well-reasoned", not "kind"), and it's evident he cares very much about workmanship and design. For me, Kors just became a caricature of himself in the later seasons.

I caught that also and wondered the same thing. Thanks for the reminder to Google it. And is there a new season of Top Chef starting soon? That's another one that I love. Even though I cook about as well as I know design-I don't! Last night, one of my favorite designs ended up in the bottom 3, and a design I disliked was in the top 3. Boy can I pick 'em!

October 15th for Top Chef, bummer. I wanted Sept. ;)

I thought I read it was a traveling Top Chef? They were going all over Califormia. I wonder when they scraped that idea. Maybe that's why it is taking so long to air? :confused3
