What did you take a picture of today?? :goodvibes

**********************************************

Still starting the day so not sure. We still don't have our tree up so maybe we'll do that today....also need to get the outside lights up...and we may go to the open house at the cat shelter this afternoon where we got our 4 cats. So many possibilities! :)

Yes, it is the one in Milford - we got all our cats from them.

Which one is Buddy?? Is he in the main room or room A or B or in one of the side rooms?

We went just to visit as we already have 4 cats at home. We did enjoy going around petting any cat that wanted to be petted. I would have taken them all home if I could have. ;)

Buddy is the big orange tiger we had for about 6 weeks this spring. He came to live with us (after he showed up in our back yard one night), but did not adapt to being an indoor cat well at all. I actually checked the website after I posted that and I see that he's no longer on there. I really hope that means he's been adopted. He is a really really sweet boy and I felt so badly that it didn't work out with us.

There was only one very LARGE orange cat there but I don't remember his name. He looked very content in his cage and didn't looked stressed at all - which is what you would expect from a cat who didn't like to be inside.

My friend/neighbor volunteers at the shelter with her teenage daughter and they took one cat home but she had such a rough time that they had to bring her back. The cat was so stressed out that she peed and pooped all over the house so that was not a good thing! My friend did end up taking home another cat and that has worked out very well - she was one of the kittens born in a hollow tree in downtown Hopedale! The cat is quite a character.

Sorry it didn't work out with Buddy - did you end up getting a different cat?

Buddy would poop in front of the litter box. DH would not stand for it! He was such a love, he would sleep right on your chest and rub his face into yours, I really liked him, but the pooping was a HUGE issue.

We have not gotten another cat. Princess would like a kitten for Christmas (as would I), but we have one 12-year old cat who is kind of a nudge. She doesn't really like anyone and I know she'd be miserable with another kitten. We joke and say she'd throw up her paws and move out! This sounds so horrible, but when she's gone, we'll probably get two kittens at the same time. Meezer would love love love a kitten, but Alley is not a happy girl.

When we got our second batch of cats (they are about 18 months now) our other two were over 2 years old and one did the same thing as Buddy - she would poop/pee anywhere but in the box and even in front of it. We bought a product called Feliway and it worked like magic! It's a spray and it's supposed to calm the cats down - almost like Prozac for felines! :)

We had two tigers (sisters) who lived to be 18 & 20 - then we got the two sisters who are now 3 and then the brother & sister. Now the 4 get along but there's enough room around here so they don't have to be right on top of one another - right now the older two are up in this room and the younger two are downstairs.
