Prohibited Items?

Thanks!

Haha, I laughed when it said 'cremated remains'.

"But he loved Disneyland! He made me promise I'd scatter his ashes in the Matterhorn!"

One of my elementary school teachers was really bummed when they closed the Skyway because her mom wanted her ashes sprinkled from there, no joke.

By banning camping gear, Disneyland has crushed my dream of camping out on TSI. Looks like I'll have to shack up in the burning cabin. ;)

I agree. People seriously treat your child and stroller like it's nothing. They will climb over it and they are not careful about it either. I wish I could bring a baseball bat in just to chase away those rude stroller climber over people! ;)

Okay, but if you get to bring your baseball bat, what do I get to bring to protect me from the countless parents that have run over my heels with their strollers while walking through the park? Man that hurts bad!

Well I personally always try to give as much room as possible! I dont want to hit you anymore than I want you to hit me you know? But some people are just terribly rude and act like strollers are in their way. I mean it's disneyland...families with kids come there...strollers are everywhere get used to it! I just dont like those impatient people that step right in front of you while pushing a stroller...so if you step right infront of me while I'm walking you are going to get hit. And I dont feel bad about it ;) Otherwise I try to not to hit anyone.

I don't think that's what Dreams is referring to. I rarely step in front of anyone's stroller, have I? yes, but I don't make a habit of it. What Dreams is referring to (I think but don't know for sure) is when you are walking down MS and it's a huge massive crush and no one can move and someone just rams into you with their stroller.....repeatedly....and then will NOT look at you when you turn around to look at them. I don't know about Dreams, but that's what drives me nuts about strollers. Oh and to clarify, the few times I've stepped in front of someones stroller have been times that they changed course as I was mid-step (think stepping off the curb and suddenly someone is aiming at you), DBF was pulling me along behind him and wasn't paying attention or the times soemone isn't pushing their stroller so I try to go around and they aren't looking my direction and they start pushing.

Pots and pans, is a campstove on that list? If not maybe they need to add it....LOL Bow & Arrows, darn it, I was really hoping to see that elf running thru NOS! LOL

A taser?

Some parents do seem to use the stroller to shove their way through the crowd as if it had one of those cow-shover things that are on the front of train engines, something I don't get because wouldn't that just freak the kid out?

According to the DL website, you cant take any food into the park. When I was a kid we would take snacks in, I tried last time I was there, but they told me I had to leave it outside the gate. I think it depends on who checks your bag, Once your in the park no one seems to bother you.

You got exactly what I meant! Happens EVERY visit! Why IS that?!?!? A stroller is not a right of way ticket. Just saying..... Watch the heels, please.

haha! Well, when the stroller hits the achilles just right it DOES have that stunning effect that just makes everything go black for a second, doesn't it?

Not that I would ever incourage bad behavior, but I would think if you would want your beloved one's or your own ashes left behind in Disney you would aim for a Planter not a ride where Dust can easily be vaccumed up! ;)

You'd probably "be" there longer than in a ride, but still, the groundspeople change things up so often that you'd probably just be sent off somewhere else as soon as the season changed, if not earlier. :)

Sure does hurt!

My theory is that it's all the same people. The people leaping over strollers are in a hurry to get back to THEIR stroller so that they can ram others with it. Same people. :)

I can not believe that people are so rude with the strollers! Seriously jumping over the stroller to rush to their strollers? Well I guess we will just deal with the kids complaining about the stroller.

I think it'd be included under "camping gear."
Oh I must've missed that one. LOL Ya, I think you're probably right. :)

We always take snacks in, snacks and bottles of water. And we were taking that stuff in when we were there just a couple weeks ago......What were you taking in?

Ok, I thought that was what you meant Dreams. :) I don't know, but it happens to me too. What really makes me crazy is the no eye contact thing, you just know it's happening on purpose then. Like you can move out the way or something. I don't mind it so much if I get a "sorry" or a smile but to just look away from me? Ya, you're so doing it on purpose. And yes, that stroller can have that stun effect can't it? OUCH!

Well I dont like that happening to me either...it's just rude! I really try hard not to hit anyone and didn't hit a single person on my last trip :cool1: But I do think about purposely ramming someone when they rude step right in front of me or this one man actually reached down and pushed my stroller to the side so he could jump in front of me. I shoulda nailed him :lmao:

We always bring lots of snacks.., food and water, no problem. But, we've always just had small things that fit into our backpack. If you want to bring a cooler they want you to put it in a locker and use the picnic area. And no glass. But water bottles, cheese sticks, fruit, energy bars, granola.., we bring that stuff in all the time. I don't think they want you bringing in full meals though.

What a jerk, I would have wanted to nail him too!!!

Ready made food is OK, like sandwiches. But you can't do sandwich fixings they need to be premade. I saw a ton of people our last visit sitting on benches eating sammies. :) And yes, we took in the things you described but not sandwiches, or a cooler. We just had everything our bags, granola bars, fruit, crackers, that stuff carries well. :)

At Disneyland, yes. The Halloween event is held at DCA. Adults are allowed costumes on those night in DCA (not Disneyland) provided certain rules are followed, such as no masks.

So something like this would not be a problem now that they don't have their own Jack Sparrow anymore?

Here are the official rules from last year:
"Guests of all ages may wear costumes only to the Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party event for which their ticket is valid. Otherwise, costumes are only permitted at either theme park for Guests ages 9 and under. All costumes must adhere to any guidelines as determined solely by Disney. Please choose costumes that are not obstructive, offensive, or violent. Guests may wear masks, but masks must not obstruct vision and the eyes must be visible at all times. Guests dressed as Disney characters may not pose for photos or sign autographs for other guests. Costumes should not drag on the ground, and should not contain sharp or pointed objects that could strike other guests. Costumes should not contain weapons or objects which could be mistaken for weapons. "
