Prohibited Items - Baby Monitors/White Noise Machines

We also have a Hatch machine….did you check them or carry on? We are trying to decide what to do for our August trip.
Carryon. If they need to be inspected, they can just take them right there. If in your checked bag, it could take a while to get the entire bag back.

Thank you..…I am guessing I wouldn’t have an issue being that I have seen other posts with people bringing those machines.

We threw our Hatch in the checked bag, as we just carried on a small backpack. It wasn't even pulled for inspection but YMMV.

I bought a wireless travel sound machine on amazon- called "Pure Enrichment Wave" mini wireless sound machine. I've taken it on 2 DCL cruises now and haven't had any problems. I works great and helps to block out the sound of my snoring for my daughter.
Just grabbed one of these. The fact the charge by USB and then run-is perfect. Hopefully loud enough to drown out the snoring or our kids will kill us! 😂

You could get an old school <$20 sound baby monitor. It's not as cool as a video one, but it runs on batteries, doesn't need wifi, and sounds like it would suffice to visit for a bit next door.

Do they allow the Marpac Dohm white noise machine? It's the one that works best for us and I was planning on getting it out of our Owner's Locker for our Wish cruise in Nov.

We didn't bring this exact one, but did bring something similar in our checked luggage recently and didn't have any issues.

If they consume too much wattage, they won't let them on board. We brought a white noise machine once and it was fine. We usually see the 'confiscated' table while we're checking in at the port and it usually looks like curling irons, travel irons, and high power hair dryers... along with power strips. They'll store them and you can pick them up when the cruise is over.
I thought all hair dryers/irons were allowed. Where can I find a list of prohibited hair dryers etc.?

Link to prohibited items is on the first page of this thread.

Thank you, yes. It lists "curling irons, flat irons, hair dryers" as acceptable appliances, so it stood out to me that the poster said that they saw curling irons and hair dryers sitting on the "confiscated" table when they were checking in. Any insight into what would trigger an acceptable item like a hair dryer to be confiscated?

It may be the cords, fear of electrical fire. They may be returned to the stateroom after inspection.
