Progressive lenses - Narrow Field of vision normal for books/computer?

Hated progressive lenses . . . way to used to scanning my environment with eye movement rather than head movement, guess it's my field work training.

Make sure the lenses are big enough to allow the proper progression. A good eyeglass place will tell you that.

It took me about 2 weeks to get used to them. The best advice I got was "point your nose in the direction that you want to look".

It took me two weeks to get used to mine. The difference to not being used to them, and being used to them was almost magical. However, I switched back to single vision because I found I was still taking them off too much to see things close up - I do a lot of sewing and crafting. I needed the larger field of vision.

Give them another week - it was like a switch going off for me when I was finally used to them. It just "clicked." Maybe that will happen for you as well.
