PROGRESS: DL/DCA Swap Elements & Pages - MAILED BACK, Photos Posted

hey I was looking over my list of groups and no-one signed up for Maliboomer on group P is that right or was it forgotten and or can we get an angel or make 5 things instead of 6.
I do really need this attraction since I did get picks of me on it.And I'll never ride it again that's for sure....:crazy2:

Yep, no one signed up for Maliboomer. On the first post, above the list of players, is how many elements you need to make for each group. They vary from 3-7 people so make sure you make the right amount.

And i was gonna give everyone in my group for NOS a bag of the New orleans Jolee's but since that doesn't count as an element you want me to just some of the peices on mats and around my Tile or what???? Or would the package count???

One of the elements, is a "Bag of Whimsy," inspired by the Jar of Whimsy swap, so you can look at that for ideas. In that swap, the requirement for that swap was a minimum of $5 worth of items. So if the Jolee is one of the larger packs that retails for $5, then it would count. If it is one of the small or medium packs, I would count it as half an element, so you could partner it with one of the other items from the mix-n-match section (2 squares, tag, large box(photo mat), etc)

I am leaving Thursday for WDW. I will take lots of pics for inspiration. I love all the ideas so far.

I have made the princess castle but don't remember the size.

I don't remember and can't find my DL map, are Pooh and Splash the only rides in Critter Country? I have a cute idea for my page but need to know the rides in that area.

Those 2 and the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes. Also a Pooh Meet & Greet area.

Have fun at WDW!

I'm just doing a quick check in for LaWanna, she is in Santa Barbara right now, and has been unable to check in. She will do a full check in when she gets back (tomorrow). Thanks!

Checking in! Have all my ideas. now to get them to work!! I am taking today off. we got in from CA last night around 10. i still need to clean out the car and find my washington shoes.:rotfl:

I plan on getting to work on these this weekend. After the sports and more swap is finished!

I will be doing field research this next weekend!:mickeyjum
Is there anything I can get for you why I'm there?

I love that Frontierland page. I have my supplies and ideas. I have a huge project due and finals coming up though. My last final is May 5th and then I am going full force on my swaps.

However while at WDW I took plenty of pics!

Field Research! No fair!

Actually, I would like park maps, please. :goodvibes

Thanks Tigger!
Hope, any and all or particular ones your looking for? How many?
48 hours from now we will be in Blythe!:yay:

One for each park, and an entertainment schedule, if it's separate. How sad is that, I can't remember if they have a separate entertainment schedule like WDW or not. It's been 3 years, and I have no idea when I am going to get back there. Anyway, I have an extensive collection of park maps, actually all paper, stuff my Dad got when he was stationed at Camp Pendelton during the early 70s until now.

At least you live on the west side. I always hated that after the first 40 minutes on the road, and we were still in the valley. We'd get gas in Quartzsite, potty at the lovely rest stop at the same exit at the prison :scared1:, McDonalds for breakfast in Rancho Mirage, next stop DL.

They have a separate park map for each park, but the entertainment schedule is on one sheet. One side is DL and the other side is DCA. Right now they have Mickey in his celebration hat on the DL map, and Pluto in his celebration hat on the DCA map. They are quite cute!

Supposedly at IASW they have a map that shows where they have added the Dis gang. Would you like one of those also if they are still giving them out? Do you remember when they used to give out maps of Tom Sawyers Island with Fort Wilderness? You cant even go in there now. Its supposedly termite ridden and has other safety issues. They have a photo spot with Jack Sparrow now in front of it.

When the Pirates Lair first opened, they also gave out maps of the island showing you where things were. I have one scrapped in my album!

As far as the Small World map, we got one when we were there on March 27. We were waiting over by SW for the new parade to start, and they came over and were passing them out. I have that to scrap also! My daughter, being the great scrapper that she is, came back from getting some waters, showing me that she got some of the maps, saying "look Mom, I got one for each of us so that we can scrap them!" Makes me proud that I have raised such a good scrapper!:lmao:

I have pics of the family inside the fort many years ago. I just found them the other day and had to laugh. The kids were so little and they used to be cute back then! (That was pre-teenage attitude!)

Atta girl - raisin the kids right and teaching her to be a thorough scrapper....LOL!

I have a question!
For Indy, is it ok to burn the edges of the paper? Or is it bad for the photos?
I think it looks kind of cool but I want everyones photos to be safe.
Also I was thinking of doing a topper that reads Indiana Jones Adventure but leaving "the temple or eyes of Mara" part off. Is this ok?

And for churros. Did you all know that the churro carts are themed out too? It just didnt dawn on me until I was doing research. Does anyone have any preferences? If not, Im going to do "generic", which ever cart I like best this weekend, topper and mats.

26 hours!:yay: 3 years Hope? I did that once, when DS was a baby. We took him at 3.5 yrs. If I had to do a 3 year span again, Id go loopy!:rotfl:

All carts (whether they are churros, popcorn etc) are all themed for the area they are located. In fact there is a special popcorn one outside of the Haunted Mansion that has Oogie Boogie turning the popcorn when the HM is set up for the holidays. And no... we are not biased... we like ALL the churros!!! :lmao:
