Program Seasons and Role Choices

Okay, so for a long time I thought I wanted to do Fall Advantage but lately I'm less sure. I seem to remember that FA opens up more roles or something - like they're more likely to pick you for them if you choose FA. Is that true or am I making it up?

FWIW, my top 3 are:
1. Character Performer
2. Concierge
3. Attractions

no, it doesn't matter if you choose fall or FA. but i have heard that very few roles such as the hopper roles are FA because you'll need more time to be trained and work in those roles. i could be wrong.

However, with the recent cut backs, everyone everywhere is short staffed and this past fall more character performers did FA. That way they could get trained and used to their locations before being pulled to learn parades/shows. But in both years, character performers did start in both FA and Fall.

So do you think I should just say I prefer FA but would do either and leave it up to Disney? Or just go ahead and try for FA?

Preference the one you want. I preferenced FA for my program but was told it was full and given fall.

This might seem like a dumb question but what is the difference between FA v. regular fall? Is it just arrival dates?

There aren't really any differences in Fall or FA in regards to roles. It really just depends on the needs of the company at the time so it is hard to give a prediction. There isn't a real pattern to it.
