Progesterone Supplelements (sad update, pg2)

So sorry - I feel your pain. We lost our first at 28 weeks and then an early miscarriage right after. Changed doctors and went on to have DD28 (The Music Teacher) and DS21, both with the assistance of the progesterone suppositories (which were pretty new at that time). We're in Central Jersey, too, and the doctor I had at that time was in Sayreville, now in East Brunswick. Both kids were born at St. Peter's in New Brunswick - they have a fabulous center for fertility problems and any other kind of high risk situations. My prayers are with you - keep the faith.

I'm so sorry.

My best friend is going through her first miscarriage (6 weeks) right now and it really stinks!

Thanks again for all of the well wishes.

I've learned that so many people have gone through this, and it truly makes me realize that every little baby is truly a blessing.

I'll have to remember that when my DS 3 is driving me up the wall ...ha ha.

I just hope the whole process happens soon. So far, nothing and the waiting is just not much fun. I finally told my dad (who is so self absorbed in his own life with dating, etc) and he just said that he wishes mom were here for me to talk to. That's when I lost it.

Well, everyone, thanks again.

I remind myself when my VERY spirited son is driving me crazy (like every day ::yes:: ) how hard we tried for him. Kind of puts things in perspective.

Yes, the waiting is hard! Know that many people are thinking about you and are feeling your pain. Yes, many of us have gone through similiar situations, but this is your pain and everyones situation is very unique.

When my first born (DD) was a baby my brother was visiting. He was always the rude, crass brother who told it like it was (not the loving, caring older brother ;) ). I told him about the miscarriage that I'd had before my DD and he said the most caring thing that anyone had ever said or has ever said since about a tragedy like this. He simply looked at me and told me, "I am so sorry that you had to go through that". Wow, MY brother was so on the mark on what to say to someone who'd suffered a loss?

Take good care of yourself and know we're all thinking about you!

Hillbeans,

I'm so sorry you're having to go through this! I lost my first pregnancy at 7 weeks, had DS, had another loss at 10 weeks, followed by 5 more losses early on, then after 18 months, countless blood tests, 6 rounds of clomid and injectibles, blood thiners and progesterone for 12 weeks we were blessed with Belle. I had an early ultrasound with her and it showed two healthy heartbeats, only one made it to full term. I had two more losses between Belle and Ellie.

They did A LOT of testing - they tested DH and I for gentics issues. I had blood tests and even more blood tests, finally I was diagnosed with anti-phospholipid antibodies. I was on heparin injections and low dose aspirin and it worked! I was finally able to carry two girls to term. It was a long battle though.

I wish you the best of luck! I hope they're able to find a cause and you're able to give DS a little brother or sister!
