When do they start posting the open internships?
What do I need to apply (resume? what else?).
Are there many openings with Human Resources? (It's the only one that would work with my major, so if anyone has done it, please let me know.)

Any other information you could provide would be useful. :)

Spring positions will pop up in August. Fall positions started popping up in February and new ones continued to appear for several weeks following.

Resume and an individualized Cover Letter for each position.

There are a lot of HR options, I'm currently a PI in an HR area (training). The positions vary based on semester, but if you visit the PI website you can search for position that are HR related.

If you can do the CP first - do it!! There are a lot of PIs who have never done the CP and that's fine... but when I tell people I did the CP first they tell me that they always have a soft spot for CPs who turn PIs. I have had more options because of the CP connection than my counterpart has gotten (he did not do the CP). They feel like I can better identify with the CMs because I've done front line, whereas he can't relate and makes several incorrect assumptions on how things work in the park. It has worked to my advantage more than against it!!

Thank you Brenna. I am planning on doing the CP first of course (to like you said, get a feel for the front line positions) but my advisor 'advised' me to look into the PI for afterwards. Apparently many people at my school use that as their internship degree requirement, and he's heard lots of great things about it.

Awesome, you work in HR! What are some of your job duties?
