Hellooo! I'm interested in participating in Disney's Professional Internship program in the future, but I had a question regarding what type and how much experience Disney requires/recommends for an applicant to have when applying. I'm only a freshman in college right now, but I'm interested in hearing some personal testimonies/suggestions of people who have been accepted or know of people who have been accepted into the program. Things like how what college majors, work/internship experience, unique skills, etc. you have would be great to know. Any general advice or recommendations on the PI program would be greatly appreciated as well. Thank you!

This all varies by position. The position listing outlines desired majors, grade level, required qualifications, etc.

Many require previous CP experience too.

You may be able to get more help if you elaborate more on the type of things you are looking into or what your major is.

I actually live in Orange County, California, so I'm looking into participating in the PI program at either Anaheim (Disneyland) or Burbank (Corporate Office). I'm majoring in Economics and I'm also acquiring a Markets and Management certificate. Basically, I am interested in a position in Marketing, Management, Accounting, Park Operations, any business-oriented positions, etc. The university I attend does not really let me take a semester off to participate in the college program, so I'm hoping to gain enough outside experience in one of these fields in order to qualify for the PI program. In any case, I just wanted some suggestions or advice on what types of background experiences Disney usually expects from an applicant (besides the college program), and what I should do in order to best prepare myself for the program. Thanks!
