Professional Internship post graduation?

Has anyone here been able to apply and be accepted to a professional internship post graduation? I'm wondering if with the current state of the job market and such... if Disney is being more likely to let those who missed applying their last semester.

For whatever reason, I never looked at any program other than the standard "College Program". Too bad as the professional internships seem to be exactly the right place to get going with Disney and possibly continue with them in the future.

I emailed the address on the website, who knows if I express my situation and maybe something exciting will happen. I regularly check the website for 'real' jobs in Orlando but have yet to see any entry level positions

Each internship has its own set of required and desired qualifications. They tend to be strict with the required ones. The grade levels tend to be under "required" a lot more than "desired". There are dozens of internships and I haven't looked at every single one over the years. This is just my general impression.

If you see a position that says it is OK for recent grads, then it is OK. If it says something like "must be a junior or senior currently enrolled", then no.

I remember that a lot of the animal science ones are open to recent grads. There may be some others in the other categories. I'm not sure.

Theyhaven't posted everything yet. but they did make it easier to see which ones were restricted to disney college program alumni without having to go into each position listing.

Is it fairly easy to get a professional internship in Engineering? My son just finished the Spring CP in May and will be working 40 hours in December to maintain his seasonal status. He'll be a Junior this fall and was hoping to apply right after he graduates.
