Product warranties

Over the past 6 months or so, when items/products have broken, I have called the manufacturer instead of throwing them out. Here's what I've found; if you know of a company that stands by their product, add it to the thread!

Neutrogena pump face wash - pump clogged, and the face wash wouldn't come out, called the company and they sent me a $10.99 coupon

Tigi Maxxed out Hair Spray - again, the pump clogged, the company sent me a new bottle via UPS.

Aussie - non aerosol hair spray, the same thing happened but it is a pain to get them to honor their guarantee - need to send the original receipt, and I don't keep Wal Mart receipts that long!

Coppertone Sunblock aerosol - nozzle clogged! They sent a new can

Banana Boat Sunblock aerosol - same clog problem, they sent a coupon for $10.99

Totes Umbrella - the plastic ring at the top broke; called and sent the Totes tag and the velcro closure, they are sending a new umbrella (mine is no longer in production; they will call me to discuss the replacement)

Kenneth Cole Luggage - zippers broke - sent the suitcase back, they sent another (called me because the line I had was no longer in production, sent the suitcase I chose)

LLBean and Land's End have always been excellent about replacing anyting that breaks or wears out prematurely (rarely happens--but I buy lots from them so it has occured once in a while).

Sears will replace (in the same size) children's clothing that wears out(including holes in the knees of jeans) before the child outgrows it. They have always been very nice about the replacements. You have to sign up for their kid vantage club to do this (it's free).

I have a broken backpack from one of those places - need to pick a replacement!

Jansport also has a lifetime warranty - mail it back and they send you a new one.

Tupperware used to replace for free - my friends' mom would buy nasty tupperware at yard sales and trade it in for new stuff!

This reminds me I need to call Microsoft about my 6 month old broken mouse. I'll let you know if they stand by their product or not.
