Problems with VMK in Park Quest prizes...

We just returned from our trip, and completed all in park quest (including Holiday), bought 2 hats each to get gold ears cards, and bought pins to get pin cards. We were very dissapointed to find out when we got home that most of our codes from the cards don't work. We had 5 sets of Quest reward cards, 2 ears each, and a pin each.....only one set out of the five worked. My kids were very dissapointed to say the least.

My kids were also bummed to find out that the Backstage tour had already been stopped by the time we visited the MK. (we were there the first day on 12/21). We thought the tours would be available through 12/23...and they expire on 12/31. So, we did not get the behind the scences tour, nor most of our prizes for buying merchandise (we spent almost $250 on hats!!!) or completing the Quest work. Has anyone else run into this problem?
 
That's not fair.

You should e-mail disney and tell them all about it.Hopefully they will do something.

WE had the same problem with our cards at first. But after I rebooted the computer a couple of times, I could enter all the cards.
 
I would most definitely write them and tell them what happened.
I have never had a problem with codes, with the exception of me turning the 8's and B's around and reading it wrong when inputting them.

What is strange too, is that we were there 12/23 and they offered us the 5pm tour and made a big deal about it being the final tour ever. There were 5 of us too and they had plenty of room on it for our whole group. I hope they find some consistency with the castmembers and tours in the future.

I was also told there is a big conflict between the Innovention castmembers and guest relation tour guides as to "who" should be doing the tours and that is what is causing alot of the recent changes. To me...whoever is most knowledgable and enjoys the game should be doing the tours. It would make it much more fun then someone just reading a script.

I've done the quest 3 times since it started. Nov was our last time. I had 3 codes that would not work.
 
We just got back the 24th and we each did all five quests on Sunday the 18th and were told there was no longer an insider tour. We were given the insider tour pin and were told we got all the available cards/virtual prizes. We even had a prize code from VMK that entitled us to the insider's tour and the guy said they no longer did them! That makes me sick there was one on the 23rd because that was our free day to do anything and we could have done it! Our glow in the dark VMK bracelet codes didn't work when we got back. All of my daughter's codes worked, but I haven't done mine yet. Hope they work.

You may have already used the bracelet code, because I believe it is on the code stickie. It is a general use code and is the same on every bracelet I think.
 
Please note that there is a limit to the number of codes you can plug in during a day. I noticed this with my quest cards. I had put in all the codes and some did not work. Then I found this information out. Woot!! The cards that previously did not work, worked.

I had no idea there was a limit!
Where did you find this out? Thanks for sharing. Do you know what the limit is?

If that's the case, the people I sent cards to should retry those codes. They might work!
 
heh. I had no idea there was a limit either. They should be letting people know this.
Darn. Now I need to go thru *all* my cards again and figure out what I entered and what I didn't.

Meh.
 
I, too, thought I had codes that did not work, but in our case, we had to guess on the letters, LOL. For instance a G could be a 6 or an 8 so if one does not work, try a "look-alike".

The only true problem I have had is with our gold ears... my code gave me a Happiest Celebration on Earth pin instead :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
 
I have had this problem and it is definately frustrating. I have had a few cards where the codes are all jumbled up together so i cant read the code at all. also, since vmk is growing, they need to set something up where it has the dates for the quests and tours and when they will end. it is not set up very well
 
and pay close attention to "G"'s and "6"'s, they look too much alike but if you find one of each, you'll see the difference in the two. This is the only problem I've ran into.

also 5 and S, G and 6, for me.
I had to get magnifying glass to be sure. I'm half blind.
 
My son had a bunch of cards that didn't work for him. They all had either a 6 or a G and I was able to enter them just fine.

Thanks for the info about the limit. I think I experienced something like this recently. I was creating mules and suddenly the codes from the sticky on this board stopped working about half way through one mule. The message indicated the code didn't match any codes in the system. I think I logged out, got rid of all cookies, cleared the history and restarted the browser. The codes started working again right away.

Anyway, I think I have a lot of cards I need to retry. A friend sent me a bunch where some of them had been used but some hadn't. None of them worked for me. Hopefully this explains it as there were some good cards in the pile!

Wow i had no idea how common this has been. Mosrt of the time when I get the inpark stuff me and my sisters immedietely go to Innovention and play VMK. I suggest doing that so if they don't work(besides the 6 and G debacles) you can go to VMK central or the cast member at innoventions and they can hopefully do somthing. Just my two cents
