Hello

I have a problem with my legs that is agravated by standing for a long time. I am also unable to sit on the ground or kerb.

Please does anyone know if there is any help I can get with viewing areas for the parade. I am O.K. walking so do not need a wheelchair for the whole time.

Many thanks

Debbie

If you had a GAC or mobility device like a wheelchair you could sit in the sections reserved for disabled. I saw a woman who had something like a cane with a foldable seat. In the MK you could head for the train station and sit up there. You could also eat at Tony's during parade time. Their porch is an excellent viewing spot for SpectroMagic and the afternoon parade. Won't you need a wheelchair or something to survive standing in lines?

I think your best bet would be the Guest Assistance Card. Tell the CM at Guest Relations of your inability to stand for long periods and ask to be allowed to use the H/P viewing areas and to wait at an alternative spot to get into attractions with long lines. The GAC does not get you front of the line but it would allow youi to sit while waiting. You can use the GAC at your discretion, if you think you can handle a particular line then you don't have to use the GAC. You can get a GAC at any of the parks and it is good at all the parks for the LOS.
Have a great trip.

Thanks for your help Guys!

I am going this Sunday (Dece 8th) so I hope the lines will not be too long. My main concern was for the 12th when we go to Mickys Very Merry Christmas Party and the crowds will be large. I think I will get one of the GAC's and just use it when I have to.

Thanks again for your advice

Debbie

You got good advice from the others, so I can't add much. As they said, you can request a GAC from Guest Services at any park. Whether you get one is up to the CM and how well they understand your needs. From what I have read, you are going at a slow time for crowds. With that and using FastPass, your waits in line should be short.

Most of the rides are continuously loading, so the line keeps moving along (might be slow moving though). The continually moving lines don't have any places to sit - they are just lines separated by rails or ropes that you continue thru. The lines that you would probably need a GAC for more are the ones for shows. In those, you tend to stand with a big enough "batch" of people until it's time to load the next show into the ride cars or theater. Some of those waiting areas have limited amounts of seating, but whoever gets there first, gets the seats.
There are 2 shows at Epcot that you stand (or lean against lean rails) for, the movies in Canada and China. They are 360 movies where the action takes place all around you. There is also a 360 show in MK called TimeKeeper (which may or may not be open).
If you have any time to shop (LOL, not likely the day before you go), you might want to look for a cane with a fold up seat on it. I've seen people use those in WDW so they have someplace to sit with them if they don't need a wheelchair.
