Problems with Magical Express and Sunwing

I just booked my flights for February using Sunwing. They were $500 cheaper. I called Disney to give them my flight information and they don't have Sunwing on their system so they told me to call back 60 days prior. I don't remember having to wait 60 days prior. I wonder if the CM didn't know what to do and just said that to get me off the phone. Do you think I should be concerned? Has anyone else had this problem?

Is Sunwing a "new" airline? I did not think Disney needs the airline's schedule before they set up your Magical Express reservation.

The airline name and flight number is for informational and statistics purposes only during the day and is used to decide when to keep Magical Express open late in the evening for delayed flights. Actually you don't need to arrive immediately or even by air to use ME. It does simplify things if you supply over the phone a flight number. That of any flight arriving about the time you are ready will suffice if you are not just getting off of a plane.

Not to worry. Due to the fact that Sunwing has just started offering flights to MCO (and a Canadian airline too boot) DME doesn't have them on their list of airlines yet is all.

I've booked a ton of people on Sunwing and therefore I've called DME and told them to 'add' Sunwing to their list of carriers. It's on THEIR list and that's all that matters.

However, I question the CM you spoke with. Even though Sunwing is not on their list as of yet, they should fill in your airline information.

If your really excited (as I always am lol) Book your ME reservation online as well. That way you have double confirmation. I believe for airlines you can just enter in "Other" .

But either way as others have said, I'm sure there still in the process of entering Sunwing in, but no harm will come from calling again.
