Problems with dropdown menus (ie Your Notifications)

As from tonight I cannot get to any drop down menus on Disboard. The main one is the 'Your Notifications' menu but also the 'Search' and 'Quick Links' menus.

I am using an iMac running the lates 10.7.4 and I did perform a system update yesterday.

I have tried Safari, Firefox and Chrome and have the same result. I am think it might be a site issue or perhaps some kind of local Java issue.

Has anyone else experienced similar?

Yes, and I've never had an issue like this before. (I'm on Windows XP - use Firefox). Hopefully it will be corrected soon!

I have tried both IE and Firefox and still my QuickLinks (and others) do not show the dropdown menu. And I can't access them at all even if I click on the link or open it in a new tab.

I can't get to "Quick Links" either. Nothing happens when I click it. I use Firefox and IE and neither one will work.

Thank heavens the problem is not just on my end. I'm one of the mods for the Disneyland forum and I am having the same issue - except in my case, the problem extends to our 'special' menus too. So that means I can't move threads to other forums if they need to be moved, I can't merge things, etc.

I have an ancient PC that gives me endless trouble, so I thought it was just a problem with my machine (I, too, tried 2 different browsers). I'm so glad to hear that others are having dropdown menu issues too! (I mean, I'm not glad, but you know what I mean! Lol.)

For what it's worth, the last time I recall having an issue with the dropdown menus was when the servers were either overloaded or being worked on. So I wonder if a heavy traffic issue and server overload could be behind this problem? Our DLR side of the board has been really hoppin' lately with all kinds of people curious about the "reimagined" California Adventure opening - featuring Cars Land and Buena Vista Street!

Sherry, I'm in the same boat. I have a thread to merge together and can't because of this issue. I tried Chrome and IE. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Instead of figuring out what's wrong on my end, I just have to wait for the problem to be fixed. I can handle that.

i am having this issue on three pcs two laptops and a mac.
i CAN right click and open in new tab -- i only use new posts and search though.

Sherry, I'm in the same boat. I have a thread to merge together and can't because of this issue. I tried Chrome and IE. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Exactly! I tried Chrome and IE, too! (Great minds think alike in their choice of browsers!)

I wanted to move a thread to another forum (at the request of the OP of the thread), and I couldn't get it to work. I was about to hurl my PC out the window in a fit of rage, but I saw this thread and it saved my PC from its horrible fate!

Me too! And I want to update my TR, but not really if I can't update my fonts and colors and such!
