Problems with Dreams??

What is going on with the Dreams Unlimited? The customer service just isn't there right now. At first my travel agent changed. Then we weren't contacted by a new agent to tell us that our trip had been assigned to someone else. Now my friend that is a concierge (Cat 3) upcoming cruiser in just 2 weeks is not being taken care of by Dreams or Disney. Is there is a problem that we need to know about? Dreams just seems a bit disorganized. I hope that you can shed some light. Thanks.

This seems to be a recurring theme lately. Not sure what is going on at Dreams, but we had some problems too. I guess try and be patient and hope that John or Pete contact you regarding your questions.

edited to add: I did not mean it to sound like my TA wasn't good, she was! Our problem stemmed from being shuttled back and forth.
edited to delete: my comment on "off the hook". That did not post as I had meant it. I meant it as: since final payment was made, there are no more issues to deal with.

PS: Barb, when are you and Tony sailing in November? I am assuming you are going on the Wonder?
 
I have to agree. I have not heard from our TA since final payment was made. I realize though that there could be an overflow of clients the TA's are having to take on with some of the TA's leaving and such. Still, I book with DU to get personal service. I hope things get better! Makes me thing that if we no longer get personal service and some perks, I might as well keep my booking with DCL directly.

Without specifics of your reservation and what exactly is going on I am afraid I could not give you an answer. I can't tell from your post what your Dreams reservation number is or who or how your reservation is being handled.

I am sure I can determine exactly what is going on and offer you an acceptable solution if you email me the specifics of your reservation and what issues you are currently experiencing.

Sorry to hear anyone is having any sort of problems with a vacation plan. Vacations should be on fun, fun, fun.

I have had no problem with contacting Dreams when making and confirming my reservation. Since making final payment I have had no reason to contact them as everything has gone as it should. And, I assume they have had no reason to contact me since everything is going along fine.

Got all my cruise documents and information. I'm ready to leave today! Oh if my boss would only let me go 3 weeks early!! LOL
 
We've also had no problems w/ Dreams contacting us!! Tammy emailed us as soon as our rates dropped and we went back and forth w/ questions and answers and she was very fast each time w/ a response. I can't complain as I feel their customer service has benn great. (And we down-graded froma cat. 7 to a 10)
 
Just wanted to add no problems here!! We are very happy with dreams and could always get an answer when ever we needed - We will definitely use them again! Can't wait to go on our cruise -
 
have to add that I had 2 issues rise up in the last week (one was doc being sent to our old address) and received what I've come to expect from DU: EXCELLENT service/response.

I've worked with a ton of folks there over the last 1.5 years and have always been impressed.

Go DU! Go DU!

And fwiw, I think the greatest thing ever is being able to re-book on board, then transfer to DU for the rebate!
 
I found out that my DW's DOB was wrong for our 10/18/03 cruise. Donna was out of the office but Tammy took care of the problem promptly!

I also have to say how very happy I have been with DU's customer service. When we had to cancel our cruise this past summer the day before it left due to a family emergency, Donna was great. She rebooked it for us and then later booked us an additional room. She left on vacation before we completed all the switching around and Tammy took over and also did a great job. We think DU is tops!!!!

Thanks for the info. For the most part things have been great with Dreams. I just want to make sure that it stays that way. I have just been seeing some signs that things were different than I expected.
 
Tammy is SUPER! She has been great to work with, and helped me save close to $400 on my next cruise. I am VERY happy with DU! I was also very pleased to hear the person onboard the magic that took my reservation have such nice things to say about DU. They seem to have a great working relationship with DCL.

This is our 6th cruise with Disney and our 4th one thru Dreams.
Our reservations are going as they always have in the past. I have gotten immediate responses to all of my questions, even the confusing issue of my son being Johnathan and husbad being John. They EMailed us as soon as we paid final payment to straighten out the confusion. We plan to sail Nov.8 on the Magic.
I am unaware of any need for them to contact you after the final payment once your reservation is made unless I am missing something. We have been very satisfied with Dreams.
As a long time psych nurse I have learned that lots of times change is scary no matter if the outcome is for the best! Just my opinion. Life is one of those ever changing processes.
 
When I cruised in 2002, I never was contacted by anyone from Dreams except a notification when my payments were due.

When I needed to contact them, the responses were prompt.

Same thing for my upcoming cruise.

It's certainly nice that John was able to help you so quickly also.
 
I am another happy customer of DU here, we just made final payments, and I immediately got the confirmation, as well as information about booking shore excursions, I had a questions and e.mailed Donna, who was out, but got an immediate response from Tammy who told me that she would take care of it.
I have only had very good experiences with DU.
I would recommend them to anyone.
 
After emailing my concerns to John at Dreams, I received 2 very prompt phone calls from him - one to ask about my specific concerns, and another the next morning to tell me that everything had been taken care of. So right now, I couldn't be happier with Dreams.
