Problems Combining Magic Pins. Please Advise.

I have a 4-star coral magic and a 1-star coral magic I've won from pulling the sword from the stone. However, I cannot combine these two pins. I get the error message that pins of different types and exceding the maximum strength may not be combined. I have encountered this problem in the past and solved it by trading the magic to another account, combining it there, and trading it back. Coral magic, however is nontradeable. Does anyone have some advice for how I can combine these pins? Thanks for the help

I had the same problem.
But my 4* and 1* where on two different pages, but once I put the pins between them into my sig (so that they were on the same page) they combined fine

Aloha by any chance do the coral magics fall on different pages in your inventory? I run into this problem everytime I try to combine pins on different pages in my inventory. What I do is put enough pins on so that the pins im trying to combine are next to each other. Sorry if this sounds confusing. If you dont get it I can try to explain it better

Different pages in inventory turned out to be the problem exactly. I moved pins around to get both coral pins on the same page and have now combined my coral magic. Thanks so much for the advice!

That's exactly what happened to me when I tried to combine levitation magic. And like everyone else, I fixed the problem when the pins were not on two different pages of inventory.

How wacky.
