Problems booking Yak n Yeti

Hi,

Firstly many thanks for all the great info on these boards. Today was my ADR booking day, and thanks to all the great tips we got almost everything we wanted, including BOG dinner, and two pre-park breakfast ADRS. The only restaurant I couldn't book was Yak n Yeti, which had no availability for either lunch or dinner at 185 days out (party of 4). It's not a big deal, I was able to book Tusker House instead, but I was really surprised. Is the restaurant being refurbished, or is it just a LOT harder to book than I thought?

On a separate note, we're staying for more than 10 days - I booked everything I could today, does anyone know whether I can book day 11 tomorrow, or do I have to wait 10 days and book day 11 when its 180 days out? I was planning on logging on tomorrow to try, but wondered if anyone knows for sure whether it will work or not?

I tried to book Yak & Yeti for dinner in October and couldn't get any ADR's that were close to dinner time. I'm wondering if they are holding back on releases the reservations so that they can add a dining package for the Rivers of Light show. I have also thought about booking directly with the restaurant. It is a Landry's restaurant and the website has the direct phone number.
 
Thank you - Rivers of light might explain it. Will have a look at Landry's website. Dining package would be awesome, but I won't get my hopes up!

I was experiencing the same problem booking, too. I'll try PP's suggestion of calling directly. Thanks for the tip!!
 
They said until the park hours extended past 5pm they don't have any later reservations. I called direct and got 4:15.
 
Quick update to this - I never did get around to phoning direct (we're in the UK), but checked the online reservations again today, and all the times have opened up. All sorted, and many thanks for all the help.
