Hi everyone.

We leave for Orlando on 13th October. I've lurked for a couple of years on this board but rarely post unless I have a major query or problem. I've been trying to book a PS for the Polynesian Ohana so we can see the Wishes fireworks from there one evening. Every time I ring Disney Dining I get a recorded message which says they're experiencing very high levels of calls. After pressing a few buttons I reach a message which says "please enter your booking reference or your 10 digit phone number". I'm now stuck as I don't have a disney booking reference (we're staying offsite) and my UK number is more than 10 digits. I'm ringing midday (?7am in Orlando). Ought I to try ringing in the evening when the phones are quieter? Or do I keep pressing the wrong buttons on the phone. Help!

No it's not you, don't worry! They've changed their system I think but all I did was put in a ten digit number and eventually you do get answered so you can just put in any old numbers and you will then get to speak to an operator. Hope this makes sense.

Hi

I just drop the '0' from my area code ie.. 1911234567 instead of 01911234567..

Hope that makes sense:)

Success! Thanks very much. Just punched in my usual number without the 0 and it worked a treat. Got the day and time I wanted too! I had to smile when I was given the confirmation code. Disney even seem to have their own version of the alphabet - "D for Disney, R for Roy and S for Simba"!!: Hello Pauline!:bounce:

The guy who took my PSs for me said D for Donald and S for Sleepy but couldn't think of a Disney character starting with 'R' - I suggested Roo but he thought that people might think he was saying 'loo' instead

I already have the Lapu-Lapu on my list of things to do!

Does anyone know if the Ohana do non-alcoholic cocktails for the kiddies?:teeth:

hi

I just managed my first PS for Ohana's - I ignored the requests for a booking number and phone number and just kept pressing the # key instead, this took me through to the bookings just the same.

I made the booking and after a chat with the guy who took my booking (dread to think about the cost of the call) he gave me an 8 digit reservation number - but it was a number only - no letters - is this right or have I missed somehting?

About a week or so ago the system was updated; after that all PS's now start with DRS (dining reservation system)

That's a bit odd - I made this booking this evening. Do you think its a different code if you are staying off site (I was asked where I was staying).

Are the new codes DRS then 8 digits - I wonder if the guy forgot to give me the letters?

Maxine,

I have 4 PS's so far - two came with DRS at the front and then 8 numbers and 2 without it. I'm not worried about it, but if it would set your mind at rest, why not give them a call?

Cheers

Karen
